The Strategic Planning Process Planned Parenthood Toronto’s Board of Directors and management team felt that it was important to engage as many stakeholders as possible to seek input on a current state assessment, future state visioning and strategy development. To this end, a range of activities were carried out by PPT. Clients, program participants, donors, members, students, volunteers, community partners, staff and board members completed surveys that provided a wealth of information to inform the strategic objectives of the agency and to renew PPT’s mission, vision and values. Community partners, staff, management and board members participated in brainstorming and scenario planning exercises to identify key success factors for PPT’s viability in any future environment. Through the community engagement process, it became clear that the vision and values of the organization needed to be updated and this was undertaken with our stakeholder feedback in mind. Taking into consideration all that we learned through the process, we are excited about our two strategic directions that will take us through the next four years. PPT has been built on a foundation of fifty solid years of programming and services and as we celebrate our past, we look towards the future and know that this is PPT’s time to shine.
Vision A future of sexual and reproductive choice, freedom and possibilities. Mission Planned Parenthood Toronto is a community-based, pro-choice agency committed to the principles of equity and to providing accessible and inclusive services that promote healthy sexuality and informed decision making to the people of the City of Toronto. Equity Vision Planned Parenthood Toronto is committed to being an agency that values and reflects the diverse communities of Toronto. We recognize that equity is not just about equality. Equity is access to high quality, unique programming and services that respect your choices and meet your differential needs. Equity is ensuring that community input informs what we do and guides us to take action for social change that benefits you.
