A non-pro t orchard centre nestled in the heart of the Lohrberg, MainÄppelHaus Lohrberg is Frankfurt’s hub for everything related to orchards and horticulture. e MainÄppelHaus, famously known to be home to ve di erent varieties of apples, was established by the city of Frankfurt Am Main in 1946. It hosts environmental events, o ers various educational courses, conducts guided tours and excursions amongst many other things. MainÄppelHaus Lohrberg was created to be a place of learning and relaxation in the Frankfurt Green Belt. One can sample Frankfurt’s traditional cuisine, home-made cloudy apple juice and apple wine at the Apple Bistro. If visitors wish to take home some fresh fruit cultivated at the centre, they can purchase table and orchard apples, plums, cherries, mirabelle plums, currants, gooseberries and so much more at the Farm Shop.
