THE BIG PICTURE

The Tank Normale is this year's addition to the brand's Privé collection, paying tribute to the original 1917 design. The original model was designed by Louis Cartier in 1917 and released in 1919. Each reference in the collection is produced as a numbered limited edition. The new range of time-only watches (hours and minutes, per Cartier definition) comprises four models, where one can choose between two precious metals and a bracelet or a strap. The timepieces feature 32.6mm by 25.7mm yellow gold or platinum cases, offered on matching precious metal seven-row bracelets or semi-matte alligator leather straps. Furthermore, the latest iteration of the Tank Normale watches features satin-finished grey dials and new time-only references feature bevelled sapphire crystals, an inspiration from the first Tank. cartier.com
