WHAT’S IT LIKE When I entered the opulent lobby of the hotel, I was greeted by the friendly and professional sta who assisted me in the check-in process. The ambience of the hotel exuded an a able warmth and I felt instantly comfortable there.

WHERE IS IT Dubai’s Design District is 4km from the Radisson Blu Hotel, Canal View. Also located in the largest and the most impressive waterfront development in the world and right beside the Canal Marina, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai International Airport are within 20km, ranking the area as one of the top business and leisure locations.

The 206 rooms and suites are stylishly designed and capture views of the Dubai Canal and Downtown Dubai in a one-bedroom suite, around 50 sqm in size and I enjoyed the stunning view of the canal. Free high-speed internet access is included in all rooms, along with a minibar and safe. Additionally, business-class rooms and suites are equipped with Nespresso co ee machines and have access to the exclusive business-class lounge.

FOOD AND DRINK While I normally choose to start my day with a light breakfast, the aromas wafting through the terrace of the all-day dining restaurant, the Larder, which o ers the signature super breakfast bu et was hard to resist. I enjoyed a large bowl of oatmeal porridge, followed by fried eggs sunny side up, freshly cut fruit and a cappuccino to wash it down. In the evening I had a few drinks and starters at BAI Bar & Terrace which has an urban sports bar ambience, where I could sit back and unwind on the plush sofas facing the Canal. In addition to this, guests can soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the lobby area or sit back and relax in The Bake House. Another great option is The Shelf Pool
