Your day by day itinerary

Day 1 Enjoy a breathtaking and luxurious safari experience at one of Phinda’s exclusive lodges. Arriving in Johannesburg via arranged transfers, or Tambo International Airport, you will be met and transferred to a hotel for a relaxing overnight stay before flying the next morning to Durban.

Day 2 You will be driven to Phinda Game Reserve, which borders the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park – a World Heritage site. After a welcome drink and check-in, there’s time to enjoy some afternoon tea before being shown to your suite. Having settled in, it is time for adventure. Venturing out on a late-afternoon game drive, the landscapes of the African bush call. Accompanied by a professional guide and a Zulu tracker, you will go in search of the reserve’s wild inhabitants, learn about the daily habits of particular species and even pause for snacks in the African bush. It is worth noting that this prime conservation land is particularly known for its large cheetah population. Long-limbed and sinewy, these graceful, spotted big cats are renowned for being extremely elusive, so this could be your best chance to see one in the wild. Dinner at the lodge crowns an exciting day.

Day 3 After a night’s rest, you will rise for an early morning game drive. Watch as the light changes and feel the familiar African warmth return as you roam the grasslands and forests, your guide and tracker ever-vigilant to signs that will lead you to your next sighting. Back at the lodge, a delicious breakfast welcomes you before some time to relax and soak up the wonder of your surroundings. Later, high tea will be served before your final game drive – the second of the day. Whether you encounter Africa’s Big Five or enjoy some completely unexpected sightings, it is all part of the thrill of safari. Returning to the lodge for dinner, you will enjoy a final evening in this captivating location, the sounds of the African bush around you as you sleep.

Day 4

Just outside Cambodia’s Siem Reap, a unique and thrilling adventure awaits you in the jungles of Angkor, where you can uncover the rich history and grand architecture of the Khmer Empire. Obscured by dense vegetation for centuries, the glorious temples of Angkor comprise one of the world’s largest religious monuments. VENTURE INTO THE JUNGLE TO DISCOVER THE TREASURES AND TEMPLES OF THE KHMER EMPIRE – 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

Your day by day itinerary

Day 1 You fly into Singapore airport and transfer to your hotel for a day spent at your leisure.

Day 2 Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will explore the huge temple complex of Angkor Wat, unlocking its mysteries and soaking up its contemplative ambience. Mosspeppered cobbled pathways lead to intricately carved towers, while steep steps draw you to sun-dappled courtyards where the chatter of monkeys hangs in the air. As the sun sets, the sight of the sun’s rays dancing across the carvings and the distinctive towers framed by a swathe of colours is a spine tingling experience.

Day 3 The following day the city of Angor Thom reveals its sights, including the renowned 12th-century Bayon Temple, the Terrace of the Leper King and the Elephant Terrace with its sandstone carvings of hunting scenes and three-headed elephants. Next, the unrestored Buddhist temple of Ta Prohm offers the chance to feel like an explorer happening upon a concealed treasure whose walls and towers have been slowly yet resolutely reclaimed by the jungle. Incredibly atmospheric, the site is featured in many scenes of the Angelina Jolie blockbuster Tomb Raider Massive root systems cling to the stone, maze-like corridors pique your curiosity, and crumbling structures underline the age of the temples, which date back to 1186.

After a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant, your cultural insights continue with a visit to Artisans d’Angkor, a school for underprivileged youth where the enduring crafts of wood and stone carving, lacquer ware, silk painting and silk weaving are taught. It’s a valuable opportunity to watch young Cambodian artisans practise age-old traditions. Having seen the craftsmanship, time and effort invested in every item, you will have the opportunity to buy some of the students’ crafts, knowing all proceeds will go towards the running of the school.

Visiting The Old Market, Phsar Chas, you will be enveloped by the bustle and sounds of local life before returning to your hotel for dinner and a vibrant Apsara cultural show.

Day 4 Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Siem Airport for your flight back to Singapore where you will board your ship or fly home.

A CHANCE TO WITNESS THE POWER AND SPECTACLE OF THE WORLD’S LARGEST WATERFALL SYSTEM – 4 DAYS/ 3 NIGHTS

Your day by day itinerary

Day 1 Arriving in Ezeiza International Airport, Buenos Aires you will be met and transfer to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 You begin your journey with a domestic flight from Buenos Aires to Iguazú. The name Iguazú means Great Waters in Guarani. And at 260 foot high, the Iguazú Falls lives up to its name, comprising 275 cascades that generate vast sprays of water and one of the most spectacular waterfalls known to humanity. This natural wonder stretches for nearly 1.8 miles, an exciting and spellbinding vista that has to be seen to be believed.

Witness the breathtaking sight of scores of fluttering butterflies – just some of the 700 species that make this area their home – as you venture along walkways and circuits to see the falls from different perspectives. Exploring the northeastern section of Argentina, an area inhabited by over 400 different varieties of birds, you will be surrounded by one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the world.

Stepping aboard a motorised boat (a Zodiac) to view the falls from water level, you will likely find yourself thoroughly soaked and just as exhilarated. As you gaze up at the immense falls, your guide will tell you more about them and their ecology. Enjoy a relaxed evening and dinner at your hotel.

Day 3

You will return to Iguazú National Park to see the impressive Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), where the Iguazú River crashes down almost 80 metres, creating the enthralling sight of many rainbows. You will reach this fantastic sight via a unique eco-train. A 3,900-foot footbridge leads from the train station to the Garganta del Diablo viewing platforms, a stroll that will surely be laden with anticipation. Continuing your adventure, you will follow a circuit on the Argentinian side of the National Park, traversing walkways and pausing at observatories as you go. You will then return to Buenos Aires via a domestic flight, where the day will be rounded off with dinner and a tango show at your hotel.

Day 4 The following day, a tour of the lively city of Buenos Aires showcases everything from the presidential palace known as Casa Rosada to the brightly coloured buildings of La Boca and the affluent Palermo neighbourhood, before transferring to your ship.

DISCOVER THE MAJESTY OF IGUAZÚ FALLS AND THE CUSTOMS OF THE GUARANI COMMUNITY – 5 DAYS/ 4 NIGHTS

Your day by day itinerary

Day 1 After flying into the Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the night.

Day 2 A flight from Buenos Aires takes you to Iguazú, from where arranged transfers take you the Argentinian side of Iguazú National Park. Boarding an eco-train with open carriages, you can soak up the atmosphere and sounds of the rainforest as you edge closer to the falls, pausing for any wildlife crossing the line. Stepping off the train, you will walk to the viewing platform for Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat), where one of Iguazú River’s widest points roars over a high cliff, crashing into the eternally misty pool below. After lunch in the national park, you will explore the various catwalks of the upper and lower circuits to enjoy and capture different views of the mighty falls. Crossing the border into Brazil, you will transfer to your hotel for dinner and a leisurely evening.

Day 3 In the morning you will return to Iguazú Falls to view Devil’s Throat from the Brazilian side.

Lunch follows at the spectacularly located Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas – the only property to lie within the bounds of the Brazilian national park. A Zodiac adventure ride via motorised boat brings the enlivening opportunity to gaze up at the thundering mass of water of Devil’s Throat while your guide tells you about the falls, the wildlife and the surrounding rainforest environment. After dinner and an overnight stay at the Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas, or similar, you will re-enter Argentina.

Day 4 Across the border, you will have the privilege of meeting a community of indigenous Guarani people. During this thought-provoking experience, a member of the Guarani community will tell you about the Guarani’s beliefs, legends and way of life. Your day by day itinerary

Day 1 After arranged transfers take you to Rio de Janeiro and settling into your hotel, the Copacabana Palace – often described as the most glamorous in all of Rio, you will embark on your adventure after a good night’s rest.

Day 2 During a full-day guided tour which includes a Brazilian barbecue lunch and dinner in the Santa Teresa district, you will discover why this exotic city is revered the world over. Taking the Corcovado train you will ride to the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer, considered one of the ‘new’ wonders of the world, before exploring Rio’s gorgeous beaches, including Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. After lunch, a cable car ride 1,300 feet to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain brings awe-inspiring views of the busy harbour below.

Day 3 You will fly to Iguazú where you will transfer to the Belmond Das Cataratas Hotel or similar. Its unrivalled location within the Brazilian side of Iguazú National Park bestows an extraordinary privilege: exclusive access to the falls in the evening and at dawn when the park is closed to other visitors. After lunch at the hotel, it’s time for a spine-tingling adventure. Venturing along a trail down a canyon, you will discover a panoramic view of more than 240 of Iguazú Fall’s cascades. A glass elevator then takes you to a viewing platform for another perspective. It’s a breathtaking experience that will surely give you plenty to talk about as you enjoy an incredible six-course dinner at Fabio Tavera’s House that evening.

Day 4

A full-day tour of the Argentine side of the falls brings a ride on the eco-train, more spectacular views and a chance to see the park’s bountiful orchids, colourful birdlife and butterflies. Standing atop a suspended viewing platform, you will witness the power of the largest of the waterfalls in the park – the mighty Garganta do Diablo (Devil’s Throat). Lunch gives you time to refuel before a jungle ride whisks you through 2 miles of sub-tropical rainforest and a long staircase leads you to the base of Macuco Falls for a refreshing dip. Your boat then takes you upriver on the Brazilian side, passing through the canyon to appreciate the scenery.

Day 5

On your final day you will transfer to Iguazú Airport for your return flight to Rio de Janeiro. A visit to Parque das Aves, the biggest bird sanctuary in South America, allows you to experience more of the native flora and fauna through its forest trails before transferring to your ship.
