How do I register for this tour?
2/15/18 - Deposit Due $200 *Deposit 50% refundable until March 15

Complete our brief application and submit your deposit by January 15th, 2019 here. Please note that we limit our tour groups to 16 participants for quality control purposes. Due to increased demand for our trips, we no longer accept verbal commitments; completed application and deposit are required.
Do I need a passport, visa, or immunizations to travel to Ghana?
Yes, a passport valid for 6 months after US reentry, a valid Ghanaian tourist visa, and valid Yellow Fever immunization are legally required for travel.
Do I need to book my own flight?
2019 Chale Wote participants will book their own flights. This package does not include airfare.

About Access Africana, LLC Our mission is to provide affordable, principled travel to the Continent and Diaspora. Our founder has led over 60 adults and high school students to Africa and the Caribbean over the course of six trips.
On the last 3 days, from Tuesday, August 20th through Thursday, August 22nd travelers will cover their own dinners and transportation for individual afternoon activities. Dinners cost between $6-$18 and transportation costs are inexpensive. We recommend bringing $200-$400 for gifts & souvenirs.
Can you describe the food we’ll eat?
We’ll have access to many types of Ghanaian, American, and international cuisine. Ghanaian food, as compared to American food, is generally spicy and bold in flavor. A common staple is jollof rice, a choice of fish, chicken, or goat, and vegetables.
What is Chale Wote?
Chale Wote is the largest street arts festival in West Africa. The Festival includes studio-based multimedia components and a film showcase as well. Visit the Chale Wote Official Website and follow festival organizers on social media for more information.
To what extent will we have access to electricity, hot water with solid water pressure, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi? All of our hotels have Wi-Fi, room-controlled air conditioning, hot water and solid water pressure. Our bus and many museums are air conditioned as well.
What information or tips do you have about packing, clothing, baggage allowance etc.? Participants receive monthly newsletters offering a plethora of in-house and external resources that provide in-depth and detailed travel information and advice.
