• These numbers are increasing every year • Because many of the bug strains are Drug Resistant • What is to blame?

• 80% of all infections are spread by touch • Touch surfaces such as stainless steel, melamine, glass and other materials can act as reservoirs of infection • Bugs can survive on these surfaces for months, incubating and waiting • But there is a surface material that kills up to 99.9% of all bacteria within ten minutes!!

That means that the fire retardant qualities of the fabric are permanent and can never be washed away. Flame retardant Blackout Satin Fabric Material with a light blockage of 95% 100% Polyester, hardly flammable and both sides look identical. The blackout character is produced by a specific fabric construction.

Trays & Baskets Compact Storage — Trays & Baskets The trays and dividers are injection moulded in tough clear polycarbonate or ABS and are ideally suited to the rigours of a busy hospital routine. They are light weight, extremely strong and user friendly. They won’t snag or damage contents.

Hygienic, they can withstand prolonged high temperature machine washing and are resistant to standard detergents.

Simple slot in dividers, both solid and snappable, allow the trays to be compartmentalised lengthwise and breadthwise to accommodate the materials stored. Changes to layouts can be made in seconds.

M o d u l a r L a m i n a t e C a b i n e ts Pandae Cabinets are supplied complete with plastic liners for the space saving storage of our 50, 100 and 200mm deep trays and baskets. Constructed from high quality laminated board - these robust cabinets offer the optimum in space utilisation.

Modular cabinets are available either free standing or wall fixed. Open fronted cabinets for direct tray access, or left hand, right hand or slit doors can be fitted.

In line with Health and safety requirements all Pandae cabinets can be fitted with customised sloping tops, sitting flush onto the cabinet top panel they ease cleaning and eliminate hoarding.

How does a pneumatic tube system work?

O p t i m i z e y o u r t ra nsp o r t a t i o n p ro c e s s e s A pneumatic tube system consists of a number of principal components: A blower to create the pressure and suction required for transportation, containers, known as carriers, that fit closely in the tubes to convey the articles, and stations where the destination is selected and the filled containers are inserted.

These stations also receive incoming carriers and gently deposit them out of the system. Diverters are used within a tube system to direct the carriers to their selected destination or else to communicate with the various zones.

Pneumatic Tube System Software All processes are displayed and reported in the system, enabling transportation to be accurately evaluated and analysed.

Control unit Powerful controllers are used to coordinate the sending and receiving processes. The differences between the microprocessorcontrolled systems depend on their complexity and the purpose for which they are used.

Carrier The Aerocom carrier is an attractively designed, robust precision engineered container with a sturdy swivel cap.

Blower with reversing valve The blower creates both pressure and suction. However, the absolute value of the air pressure is not significant. It is the quantity of air that creates the driving force and produces speeds of six to eight metres per second.

Diverter This is the only technique that allows a pneumatic system to be both complex and rationally designed. It enables a carrier to be inserted at any station in the system and transported to the desired recipient.

Precision dispatch Tubes PVC tubing is the preferred material in todayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s systems. In some applications, mainly public building such as hospitals, stainless steel tubing is specified. The tube system can be installed in false ceilings or, if connecting a number of buildings, it can be laid underground or in the open.
