Legendary Sounds at HAHS - Experience Sinatra Forever

Legendary sounds will be emanating from the Hazleton Area High School stage on March 25, 2022 as the Greater Hazleton Concert Series, Inc. welcomes Rick Michel starring in Sinatra Forever. This concert, a tribute to Frank Sinatra, pays homage to perhaps the greatest singer of all time. This is not an impersonation show but rather an interpretation performed by Michel who literally channels “Old Blue Eyes” through his spot-on vocals of the renowned crooner. According to Variety, “Rick Michel is the closest thing to Frank Sinatra we have ever heard.”

Since he was a teenager, Rick has been singing Sinatra’s music. He has performed with big bands since the early 80s. He believes “Frank Sinatra was the most articulate of all the pop and standard singers. He made songs his own by uniquely phrasing the words to wrap around the melody line like no one else before him or since.”

For the show Michel will choose a variety of music that best represents Sinatra’s career such as “Come Fly with Me”, “That’s Life”, “Strangers in the Night”, and “My Way”. He also includes stories, jokes, quips, and

impressions of important celebrities in Sinatra’s life like his Rat Pack buddy, Dean Martin.

In addition to his lengthy and successful career, Michel always seems to find time to give back to the community. He has been involved in a number of charity events including the Wounded Warrior Project, Salvation Army Christmas Toys for Tots, and Make a Difference Day.
