Paolo Davide Farah is a preeminent legal scholar and academic with a profound specialization in international economic law, environmental sustainability, and global trade regulations. He is committed to advancing international cooperation to solve key global challenges, including environmental conservation and ethical trade practices. Farah's significant scholarly output includes many research papers, and has provided his expertise as a consultant to several prestigious international organizations. Educated in some of Europe's top institutions, Farah earned a J.D. in International and European Law from Paris Ouest La Defense Nanterre University in France. He continued his education with an LLM in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, in 2003. He later achieved a dual PhD in International Law from Aix-Marseille University in France and the University of Milan in Italy in 2011. Paolo initiated his career on the international stage, beginning at the Legal Affairs Division of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva. He subsequently became an associate lawyer at the renowned Baker & McKenzie in Milan, where he dealt with complex legal issues in international business. Paolo Farah is a full professor at West Virginia University within the John D. Rockefeller IV School of Policy and Politics at the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. His teaching portfolio includes public administration, law, environmental policy, and energy justice. He leads the Energy Justice and Just Transition Lab.
