45 people nabbed following the Ivory Park high density operation

IVORY PARK - It was a resounding success for local police and other partners on Saturday night, the 15th of April, when they launched a multidisciplinary operation. The authority of the state was felt throughout the Ivory Park policing area during the High Density Operation as 45 people were arrested for allegedly being in the country illegally, driving while drunk, and dealing drugs.

In addition to the SAPS, there were traffic cops, metro police from both Ekurhuleni and Johannesburg, the Department of Home Affairs, Gauteng’s Department of Community Safety, and Johannesburg City Council employees.

All of these suspects are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court as soon as Monday.
