Pappelina’s accessories are made to match our extensive collection of rugs. We always choose to manufacture as close to Pappelina in Dalarna, Sweden as possible and many of our collaborators are family-owned local businesses. We set very high standards when sourcing for materials and producing our goods. When you choose a Pappelina product – be it a tray made in Sweden, a linen towel made in Finland or a cushion made of French fabric with an innovative Danish inner cushion – you can be certain that we can trace every step taken during manufacture, that the materials are certified and controlled and that each person involved has received a decent salary for their work. When choosing Pappelina, you can be confident that your product of choice will withstand the daily wear and tear and be with you for a long time to come.

ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES It is the unlimited number of possibilities that attracts me to the process of weaving. Possibilities fuel my dreams and ideas, many of which are realised at a weaving mill in Leksand in my native Dalarna in Sweden. This is where all Pappelina rugs are made, by skilled craftsmen, on old, mechanical looms. It is almost twenty years since my new version on the traditional, woven Swedish runner rug saw the world for the first time. Although the plastic ribbons from the 1960’s that inspired me and opened up new prospects, have been replaced by modern, certified vinyl, much remains the same. Still today, when we ship our rugs to 40 countries around the world, we manage to stay true to our core values combining Swedish craftsmanship with modern design and functionality. I am very proud of this. Lately, I have also started to see possibilities in other products and I am happy to present the new catalogue for 2018 filled with classic Pappelina rugs besides a growing number of accessories. All Pappelina rugs are made at our local weaving mill in Leksand, Dalarna. To the sound of wooden shuttles rushing forth and back – a well-coordinated interplay between loom, warp and weft – create the pattern of choice. Each rug we make represents a piece of Swedish craftsmanship and thanks to great composition, high quality materials and devoted craftsmen and -women, we bring you the durable, contemporary and colourful design that is Pappelina.
