The annual Byron Writers Festival is Australia’s largest and leading regional celebration of storytelling, literature and ideas.
Established as a community based ‘not for profit’ organisation the Brunswick Valley Woodchop & Entertainment Committee Inc. hosts the Festival Of The Fish ‘n’ Chips each year as a lead up to their Woodchop Carnival which draws international contestants from New Zealand, the US and Canada. The Brunswick Woodchop Carnival is currently regarded as the biggest woodchopping event outside the Sydney and Brisbane shows.
Each year they present more than 150 sessions during Festival Week and attract an audience of approximately 12,000 people (or 70,000 individual attendances) in the stunning surrounds of Byron Bay. www.byronwritersfestival.com
