BYRON BAY
Wake up pre-dawn, grab a coffee, do the lighthouse walk (approx. 2 klms), to see the sunrise over the ocean (very popular) and on the way back down, go for a beach swim, the ocean temperature is refreshing, all before you start your day exploring Byron shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants.
A coastal town in the north-east of New South Wales. Byron Bay has become a very popular holiday destination, known for its relaxing lifestyle white sandy beaches, great swimming and surfing beaches, fantastic scuba diving sites and diverse walking tracks. Cape Byron State Conservation Area is on a headland with the brightest lighthouse in Australia, Cape Byron Lighthouse. Between May and November, humpback whales and our local pod of dolphins can be spotted from headland viewpoints such as the Captain Cook Lookout, the lighthouse walking track, The Pass Lookout, and at the lighthouse courtyard.
