SUNGLASS FEATURES BASE CURVE: Measure of the general shape of a lens – the curvature of the front surface. The higher the base curve, the more wrap in the lens and in turn, the frame. TORIC LENSES: Toric lens shapes display a flatter curvature vertically as compared to horizontally. Any lens that has a different horizontal and vertical curvature can be considered “toric”.
