Plano Parks & Recreation is pleased to offer another season of wholesome, funfilled recreational activities and programs to the Plano community . Throughout my life and career, I have grown to know that play, in all of its forms and fashions, is a powerful influencer for good. It helps promote social, physical and emotional balance and well-being, not just in childhood, but throughout all stages of life . Whatever one’s pleasure, play is an essential component for a rich, fulfilling and rewarding life.

Because Plano Parks & Recreation understands this, great care and consideration is taken in the provision of Plano’s recreation programs . The Fall Recreation catalog can serve as a guide to improving individual and familial health and wellness with its wide array of programs and classes . Whether trying something new, rediscovering the forgotten hobby, or looking to expand social circles, there are plenty of options for every member of the family inside this fall edition

The coming of fall also means the return of some of Plano’s favorite events (see Pages 2 and 83): Boo Bash at Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center on Oct . 26, the Holiday Market on Nov . 18-19, and Breakfast with Santa at Carpenter Park Recreation Center on Dec . 9 are some of my favorites, that I’m sure your family will enjoy, too so mark your calendars! But these are just some of the family-oriented events planned for this fall See more of what’s in store on page 25
