Specialized Aquatics
LIFEGUARD TRAINING W/ WATERPARK (15 YRS & UP)
This is an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class that will certify the participant in Waterpark Lifeguard Training, CPR/ AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training. The Lifeguard, First Aid, CPRPR, and Oxygen Administration are two year certifications and the Bloodborne Pathogen certification must be renewed each year. In order to participate in this class, you must pass a pre-course which consists of a 300 yard continuous swim using front crawl and/or breast stroke, tread water for two minutes using only your legs, and a timed event which includes swimming 20 yards, picking up a 10 pound brick from the bottom of 7-10 feet of water and swimming it back to the side keeping both hands on the brick. The participant MUST attend all class sessions in order to pass.
Water Safety Instructor Blended Learning
This course certifies participants to teach Red Cross swimming courses to infants through adults. Online content for blended learning classes will be sent to participants 2 weeks in advance and all online content must be completed prior to the first in-person class day. Bring a one-inch notebook on the first day of class to hold your Instructor manual. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and dry change of clothes to all class sessions. The pre-course will be by appointment before the first day of class. To pass the pre-course, participants must tread water and back float in deep water for one minute and swim 25 yards of the following strokes at a level IV ability or higher: front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke. To pass and obtain certification, instructor candidates must attend and participate in all class sessions, complete all assigned practice teaches and lesson plans, demonstrate competency in all required skills and activities, and pass a final written exam with a minimum score of 80 percent (40 out of 50 multiple choice questions). Homeschool Aqua Cross Training
This class is a great way to fill a Physical Education (PE) credit for homeschooled students who want a fun versatile aquatic workout. The class will provide cross training in swimming safety, technique, and endurance as well as strength and cardiovascular training employing the use of specialized aquatic equipment and water resistance. Participants should be comfortable in 5 feet of water and be able to show a Swim Level 4 capability. 59417
Youth Aquatic Conditioning
Come experience a real swimming workout! The objective of this course is for swimmers to increase their endurance and learn to swim for fitness. This course covers skills that are important for swimmers bridging between swim lessons and swim team or who want to continue their stroke development and increase their endurance. Feedback will be given to improve efficiencies of swimming strokes. Participants must be able to work independently and be comfortable in deep water. A swim test will be given on the first day. Prerequisites include ownership of Level 4 certificate or ability to demonstrate all skills required to pass Level 4.
NEW! PRANCER'S POOL PARTY (7-12 YRS)
Drop off your kids for a fun time of water games, crafts, and miniswim lesson. Take advantage of your free morning to do your Christmas shopping or just take time to relax! Children will need to wear their swim suit and bring a towel and change of clothes.
NEW! YOUTH TRI-WATER-THON
This is a fully aquatic version of a triathlon designed for kids who love the water and want a fun challenge. Just like regular triathlons there will be three different legs: biking, swimming and running, but they will all be performed in the water. Bike while straddling a pool noodle for 10 minutes, swim 200 yards in the lap pool, and walk/ run 200 yards in our lazy river with the current. Waves start every 20 minutes. Don't worry if you cannot complete the full challenge, but sign up for a wave and have some fun. T-shirts and snacks will be provided for each participant registered by October 9.

Adult
Adult Beginner Swimming
This class is for ages 13 to adult who have never had lessons or are not comfortable in deep water. Students will be taught the following skills: rhythmic breathing, front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke.
ADULT BEGINNER SWIMMING-INTRO TO SHALLOW WATER
This course is for adults with little to no aquatic experience. Participants will learn basic aquatic skills including exhaling to prevent swallowing water, floating, gliding, and basic arm and leg movements. Class will be held in water 3.5 feet deep.
Adult Intermediate Swimming
This class is for ages 13 to adult who are able to swim 25 yards of front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke. Students will swim laps while learning sidestroke, breaststroke, butterfly, sculling, basic rescues and perfecting the front crawl, back crawl, and elementary backstroke.
Adult Swimming Conditioning
This class is for individuals ages 13 to adult. Instruction and workout for men and women who want to improve swimming, endurance, and techniques. Participants must be able to swim and work independently in deep water. Great for triathletes who want to improve their swimming.

Shallow Water Aerobics
This class is for adults of all ages who want to stretch, tone and strengthen the body through water exercise. The class will concentrate on endurance, aerobics and flexibility using water resistance. There may be an optional deep-water portion during class time.
Deep Water Aerobics
This is a great way to exercise in the water. The class will concentrate on endurance, aerobics, and flexibility using water resistance. (Deep water classes require a buoyancy belt be worn and that the participant be comfortable in multi-depth water).
