SIT AERO
WE’VE BEEN SITTING ON THIS SADDLE FOR TWO YEARS Your fit on the bike is critical in enabling you to get the most power, endurance, and reduce your chance of injury while riding. This knowledge is the driving force behind all Body Geometry products, but when it comes to saddles, there’s one crucial addition to the equation: BLOOD FLOW. For years, we’ve been working with medical doctors, engineers, pro athletes and our Body Geometry Fit professors, to develop an extensive line of market-leading saddles that improve blood flow and relieve soft tissue pressure. A TRIATHLON-SPECIFIC SADDLE has been on our radar for a while, and presented its own set of challenges to our development team. Put simply, triathletes sit differently to road riders on their bikes. As they get into the aero position, they shift their weight forward onto the extension of the sit bones called the Pubic Rami. A different sit zone means different pressure points, and when you’re in the aero position for hours, that’s a whole lot of soft-tissue pressure and discomfort. Our new triathlon specific saddle – the Sitero incorporates a Sit Zone that provides support on a rider’s bone structure in the aero position. The Sit Zone allows the pelvis to rotate farther forward, which translates to MORE POWER FROM THE GLUTES AND A MORE OPEN HIP ANGLE.
Pressure mapping shows blood flow on aero-specific saddles. A good pressure map should have minimal red areas.
TRADITIONAL TRI SADDLE Pressure mapping results of a rider in a triathlon position. Red areas indicate very high pressure. Blue areas represent the lowest pressure.
POPULAR NOSE-LESS SADDLE DESIGN Less, but still concentrated pressure on the front of the saddle.
SITERO Very little pressure up front allowing the rider to roll their pelvis forward, making them more aero.
“My Shiv is so comfy, fast and aerodynamic. Throw in my new Sitero saddle and I was able to stay down on my aero bars comfortably for the entire ride. It’s hard to find a good Time Trial saddle that allows you stay in an aero position for such a long time.”- 2013 Abu Dhabi International Triathlon Winner Melissa Hauschildt

BODY GEOMETRY BE ONE WITH YOUR BIKE Like all BODY GEOMETRY saddles, the Sitero is designed to pass the stringent standards we’ve established for all Body Geometry products, and in this case gives the rider 80 to 90% blood flow to sensitive arteries. Matching the angle of the Pubic Rami, the Sitero’s shape provides maximum support while in the aero position (different from a road saddle that utilizes Ischial Tuberosities—the sit bones—for support). The unique shape of the Sitero allows a rider to select the most comfortable location along the length of the Sit Zone and REDUCES PRESSURE ON SOFT TISSUE. Thanks to the tapered shape of the Sit Zone there’s essentially an infinite amount of widths available to any rider, meaning only one size of the saddle is needed. Once a rider has dialed in a position with support on their Pubic Rami rather than soft tissue, they’ll be able to produce more power, be more comfortable and less numb, and truly reap the rewards: the ability to remain in this position longer and be MORE AERODYNAMIC THROUGHOUT THE RIDE.

SIT ZONE A rider will naturally self-select their own position within the Sit Zone to match their individual anatomy. This provides the best structural support allowing for more anterior pelvic rotation, leading to an increased use of the glutes while keeping the hips more open, which helps transition to the run.
•
The SIT ZONE is located where you see perforations on the top of the saddle

•
RIDE LONGER in the aero position because pressure on the arms does not increase
•
Outer cover is made from an ANTI-SLIP material and perforations help to hold the rider into place
AN INTEGRATED SOLUTION
The Tri-Pod is seamlessly integrated into the design of the Sitero, allowing for an additional water bottle to be mounted on the bike. Simply remove the hook using for racking the bike in transition and install the Tri-Pod for fully integrated water storage.
MODELS & COLORWAYS SITERO PRO (Black) - Carbon rails
SITERO EXPERT (White or Black) - Ti rails
The Tri-Pod is included with both models of the Sitero
