All wood used in our products comes from certified forests whose tree are renewed naturally. Norrland pine is our raw material. The trees grow slowly, which makes it extra durable and thus an exemplary material for outdoor products. For our hardwood products, we

have chosen Brazilian jatoba, a beautiful and tough wood that is highly rot-resistant. All raw materials are utilised optimally in manufacturing in order to create park equipment that lasts, both with regard to quality and design.

Solfjädern The starting point for the design of this bench, which radiates outwards, is that it should be versatile, light and adaptable to different surroundings. The simplified combination of wood and steel fits in both a rocky, barren landscape and in a lush, green park. Solfjädern works as both a bench and a table in many different kinds of environments. As a bench, there is room for four; as a table it seats two.

The result woke the interest of many others with its pleasingly unaffected, durable design. The furniture was therefore incorporated in Lappset’s range. Site One could say that the furniture in the Site series literally have their roots in the Scandinavian earth, since they are cast in place. The seriesâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; designer, Arne Nilsson, is an architect who has specialised in outdoor planning. In his designs, the user of the product and the spaces always has a central place. The Nova planter is durable and lightweight as it is made of moulded aluminium. This dainty planter creates great opportunities for fine flower beds and arrangements. The triangular shape is soft and smooth, with rounded corners. In the middle of each side, there is a groove that gives the planter a roomy, classic appearance. The product are delivered as components and elements and are accompanied by: - packing slip - assembly instructions

If you have already ordered and want further details on the method or time of delivery, or if you have any complaint about the delivery, please contact your local distributor.

The products are well packed and are transported in accordance with our environmental policy. The goods are delivered on pallets in order to facilitate handling, which reduces both damage and costs during transport.

Delivery terms

Assembly instructions Complete assembly instructions are included with each product. The illustrated assembly instructions provide you with all the information on the delivery you need.

Assembly Assembly shall be carried out in accordance with the assembly instructions that are included with the product on delivery.

Ordering You can place your order by regular mail, fax, e-mail or telephone. We ask you to send us instructions for modifying our standard products in writing.

Prices include transport insurance. The delivery of the goods is done ex works (EXW) unless otherwise agreed. The customer shall ensure that necessary unloading vehicles are available for unloading. Orders for standard products can be cancelled at no charge within 8 days of ordering. Orders for CAD products which were designed according to the customerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s wishes can be cancelled only by paying 70% of the product's price. Delivery time can be extended once and at most by one month, however at most one week before the confirmed delivery time from the factory.

Wrapping The products are delivered either wrapped in recyclable polyethylene plastic on a pallet or packed in wooden/ cardboard cartons. The pallets and wooden packaging are made of untreated wood. They can be reused or burned.

Delivery time Delivery times vary between 2-8 weeks depending on the product and the season. Delivery time for standard products is normally 3 weeks from the factory. By ordering well in advance, you can ensure that your delivery will take place at the right time and at a reasonable price.

Product modifications We continuously develop our products by observing international standards both in terms of safety and quality. For this reason, we reserve the right to make product and price changes.

Material specifications The below material specifications are with reference to the product numbers that begin with NF.

Wooden material pine The wooden material is treated with alkide/acrylatebased glaze reinforced with UV absorbers, which guarantees the greatest possible durability against weather and wind. The wooden material is impregnated once with TEKNOL AQUA 1410-01, which permeates 3 mm into the wood, and then treated (washed) with GORI 615 primer/tint (brown ”pine 5078”, green ”green 5079”, teak red ”teak 5080”), 5 µm, and once with Gori 660 OAK 5097 lacquer, 275 µm, in our painting facility. This treatment gives complete saturation which provides the highest possible quality. MAINTENANCE All painted surfaces that have been

exposed to weather will at some point require maintenance. The time for maintenance painting depends on the nature of the construction, how strong the effect of weather is and the direction. Moisture causes most damage to wooden surfaces. It is important that the wood is allowed to dry before damage is repaired or the surfaces repainted. During painting, the moisture content of the wood must not exceed 20%. During painting and drying, the temperature of the air, the surface and the paint should not exceed +5 ºC and the relative humidity of the air should be below 80%. PRE-TREATMENT All peeling and cracked paint is

scraped off mechanically and other surfaces cleaned of loose dirt and dust. Any porous wood is removed for example by sanding. Painted surfaces are washed with paint cleaner and mouldy parts with mould cleaner and the surfaces are carefully rinsed with water. MAINTENANCE PAINTING Pre-treated surfaces are painted with touch-up paint in the desired colour. Touchup paint can be purchased through Lappset Group Oy Ltd.

Jatoba (hardwood) Prior to delivery, the Jatoba is treated with a wood oil based on linseed oil. We recommend oiling the wood each spring and autumn with wood oil based on linseed oil in order to protect it from moisture, rot, cracking and fading. Before the wood is treated, it should first be washed or brushed. It is important to treat all the wood’s surfaces, especially the ends. Hardwood which has turned grey can be sanded with fine sandpaper/sanding sponge and oiled in order to regain most of its original appearance. Cracking can be reduced through treatment with wood oil, but it cannot be totally eliminated. Wood oil for the maintenance if jatoba boards can be purchased through Lappset Group Oy Ltd.

Metal parts Steel Steel is zinc-plated, passivated and powderlacquered for high resistance to rust and needs no special maintenance other than normal cleaning. In order to prevent the formation of rust if the painted surface is damaged, the damage should be given protective treatment and then painted over with lacquer, preferably with a two-component lacquer. STAINLESS STEEL The stainless steel products are made of polished heat-treated stainless steel according to the European EN 1.4301/2R standard (which corresponds to the American AISI 304/BA standard). No special maintenance other than normal cleaning is needed. Polish the surface as needed with agents made for stainless steel surfaces. Do not use materials that can damage the surface. OTHER Hinged joints and locks on wastebaskets and

ashtrays should be oiled once per year to prevent noise and rust and bolts my need to be tightened in wooden constructions on park seats, armchairs, benches and tables. GUARANTEE See page 101.

Types of wood and colours Lappsetâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s wooden furniture is made of Swedish Norrland pine or Brazilian jatoba. Both types of wood are known for their high quality and great durability. Our standard colours are carefully selected so as to blend in with different common outdoor environments such as parks, residential areas and city centres. The colours are clear without demanding too much attention.
