“I think the greatest benefit I’ve gotten out of the lab is the systems engineering experience. When you take a class, you’re learning components of a system – on a project like this, you understand why it all has to work. When you assume it is going to work, connect it and realize it doesn’t, you have to come up with a solution. That’s a really important experience that you don’t get in the typical classroom.” 14

We’re only a couple of miles west of the famous Busch Stadium, where St. Louis Cardinals play, and a few miles east of Forest Park, which covers more than 1, 300 acres and is home to the Saint Louis Zoo, Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Science Center and much more. At SLU, we have the best of both worlds: a close-knit campus surrounded by a dynamic urban environment. To get a closer look at campus, check out BeaBilliken.com for video tours. Then, call 800-SLU-FOR-U or go to visit.slu.edu to schedule an individual visit and let us know that you’re interested in Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology. We’ll plan a time for you to see campus for yourself, speak with a representative from an academic department and tour the facilities at Parks College.
