The perennials, and and garden delights! Accessories The world’s World’sfinest Finestroses, Roses, premium Perennials, Gift Plants, Outdoor-living

Welcome to your gardening home! We’re honored to have you here!

NE

For more than 130 years, Rosarians around the world have eagerly awaited the arrival of Jackson & Perkins’ new rose introductions. We are extremely pleased to present this year’s selections and anticipate they will sell out very quickly. Many of our more popular roses will be in short supply, so we strongly encourage you to place your order early to ensure you receive your favorite ones. Those with extremely low quantities have been notated with an LQ icon. Additionally, some of our roses this year are younger than others, so bareroot sizes may vary. They are still of the same Jackson & Perkins’ quality you’ve come to expect, so we know you’ll be thrilled with their performance!

NEW ‘Heroes Rose’ Floribunda Jackson & Perkins New Introduction!

Fair

Good

Poor

Very Good

There were countless individuals who proved themselves to be heroes both during and after the tragic events of September 11, 2001. In an attempt to pay tribute to the numerous acts of self-sacrifice that day, we named our 2013 Floribunda of the Year® ‘Heroes Rose’. We chose this purple rose because its color is the perfect combination of blue and red, the colors representative of the amazing men and women from the fire and police departments who responded so quickly and so bravely on 9/11. The name was selected to honor the first responders as well as the regular citizens who stepped forward with no thought to their own safety to save the lives of friends and strangers alike. President George W. Bush said it best during his speech at the dedication of the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial: “On a day when buildings fell, heroes rose.”

The most widely planted rose in the world!

This radiantly lovely, sweetly perfumed rose has a fascinating history: it was developed in Paris, and as an unnamed seedling, was evacuated from the city on the last plane before the German invasion. The day that peace was signed with Japan, it was named and awarded AARS honors. And when the newly formed United Nations opened, delegates each received a single stem! Climbing Roses for Vertical Beauty

‘Don Juan’

‘Sally Holmes’

‘Don Juan’

‘Sally Holmes’ Climbing Rose

Climbing Rose

Often generously reblooming at summer’s end, this big, vigorous, disease-resistant rose is a gardener’s dream, as much for its versatility (it can be grown as either a climber or a shrub) as for its abundant blooms! The 2-inch blooms are single and held in huge, snowballshaped clusters. The buds are ivory, opening to pinkish-white blooms sporting a cheery boss of yellow stamens in the center. While they look quite delicate, the flowers are actually very long-lasting and non-fading, standing up to hot climates that melt others. Send it scrambling up arbors, the sides of buildings and walls, or strong trellises!

Huge, fragrant red blooms arise on vigorous canes, banked by glossy, dark green foliage. Quickly reaching 10 to 12 feet tall, this is the climbing rose you want draped over the patio wall, twining up the arbor, or festooning a trellis. If you saw these 3- to 4-inch blooms without the plant, you’d probably assume they were exhibition-quality hybrid teas. Packed with 30 to 35 petals and boasting a true red hue that won’t fade, they’re superb cut flowers. Z 5-10 / Deep red / Pointed ovoid buds / 3-4” blooms / 30-35 petals / 5-10” stems Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage / Strong damask fragrance / 10-12’ H x 5’ W / Full sun

America™ Climbing Rose Var: JACclam (PP#3,682) This climber erupts in bloom all summer and into fall on hardy vines that quickly reach 10 to 12 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide. Fully double, the 4- to 5-inch flowers have a strong, spicy clove scent and are a luscious pink suffused with salmon and coral, with lighter tones on the petal reverse.
