The team at Dirty Steve says their Banana Foaming Wash is engineered specifically for use on marine vessels and is great for removing salt, along with prevention and general maintenance washing of any craft, as well as land vehicles. It also leaves behind a ceramic (hydrophobic) layer of protection. Everyone knows it’s bad luck to take bananas out on a boat, but it’s fine to wash it with them afterwards.

When it comes to stubborn and sticky oil, grease, and grime, what could be better than emerging clean, smelling of strawberries? Strawberry-scented Dirty Steve Foaming Degreaser is the perfect solution for a professional and perfumed heavyduty clean. It is particularly suitable for removing chain lube residue on dirt bikes and oil and grime under trailers and campers, 4WDs, utes, and farm vehicles.

Corghi raises the game — again — in tyre changers

THE NEW ARTIGLIO MASTER 28 COMBINES FEATURES OF TWO TOP-OF-THE-LINE MODELS TO CREATE CORGHI’S ULTIMATE TOUCHLESS TECH TYRE MACHINE

In 2001 Corghi revolutionised the world of tyre changers, introducing the concept of leverless tyre mounting and demounting. While other brands now feature leverless technology, Corghi’s patented touchless Smart Corghi System has a range of features that leave it unmatched, and Corghi has continued to develop this technology.

The new demounting tool head combines features found on the Artiglio Master 26 and the Artiglio Master Code, merging the advantages of the two solutions.

The key benefit of the Artiglio range and the Master 28, due in New Zealand soon, is the electronic setting of the rim diameter with auto positioning of all working tools to ensure they never touch the rim during any stage of the work process.

The turntable moves back and forth as required to ensure the correct distance from tool heads, which cancels any tension on the tyre during the mounting and demounting process. The Artiglio range has a built-in wheel lifter, all operations are handled from the control panel, and bead breaking is done on the turntable with a patented automatic disc system.

The motor and even the movement of the main tool have dual speed operation to suit different operations and operators.

As well as offering its own range of six tyre machines for the most cost-conscious workshops, distributor Automaster offers seven Corghi passenger tyre machines for wheels up to 28-inches in diameter, as well as five heavy-duty or commercial Corghi machines.

Automaster’s Gary Cotterell says the most popular machine in the Corghi range is the A2025TI tyre changer. Like the Artiglio models, it has a variable torque inverter motor and a pneumatically operated tilting column, and a 24-inch turntable suitable for car, SUV, van, and motorcycle wheels.

The bead breaker features a dual-position telescopic arm and a two-position pad to handle wheels up to a maximum width of 14-inches. A patented system on the turntable will also handle all types of wheels from 10 to 24-inch with a simple adjustment.

Tall cast clamps offer clamping from both inside and outside, and clamp covers provide protection for rims. Wheel lifters are also available, as well as helper arms which provide greater control, and different tools and techniques for more difficult jobs such as low-profile or run-flat tyres.
