Why Camp Basic?

boutiquecamping.com

Boutique Camping

How was the idea to start your company born?

In 2010, after years of underwhelming and frustrating camping trips (we’ve all had them, let’s face it), it took founders and committed festival goers, Ollie and Fiaz, one last soggy camping disaster to come to a pivotal eureka moment...Why camp basic when you can camp Boutique?

What type of structures do you create?

Today Boutique Camping® is globally renowned for its extensive range of unique and pitch-perfect bell tents that provide outdoor enthusiasts and businesses with innovative portable luxury. From go-to Classic Bell Tents to stand-out, patentprotected designs such as the ‘Star Bell’ and ‘Luna Bell’. Structures inspired by traditional designs like the yurt and touareg are available in up to 6 sizes and versatile fabric options and crafted with add-ons such as extra doors, stove holes and more!

What are the main advantages of using canvas structures for hospitality, in your opinion?

Easy Pitching and Deconstruction.

Portability.

Minimal Heavy Labor and Equipment.

Cost-Effectiveness.

Versatility.

Natural and Rustic Appeal.

Environmental Sustainability.

What makes them stand out from other manufacturers?

Unique features such as webbing straps, air beams, integrated porches, 360° mesh netting, and extra tall doorways are what set our designs apart!

How much maintenance is required? Do you offer any follow-up services?

For sites pitching for seasons at a time, it’s recommended that checks are performed after each booking, otherwise, this can be done monthly. To maintain the fabric’s breathability and water resistance we recommend cleaning and reproofing the tent annually. We don’t offer a follow-up service but our team will be always there to advise and point you in the right direction for any repairs or professional cleaning.

What is the average wait time from workshop to site?

Orders placed before 14:30 GMT are dispatched same day, with UK next day delivery. Within 3-5 days for the U.S with an efficient door-to-door service and tax/duties included.

Can your products be assembled on-site or do they require transportation?

Boutique Camping® tents and glamping gear are easy and efficient to assemble and deconstruct. The tents can take approx. 10-40 minutes to pitch. We also cater to noncommercial campers such as hikers and festival goers so the tents pack up very compactly. For example, a 5M Nova Air Dome fits in a bag just 1m in length and 50cm in width.

What geographical markets do you cover?

Worldwide! We also offer bespoke shipping services for zones not listed on our website.

Boutique Camping

Would you offer discounts on larger purchases for bigger sites?

Yes – we launch our ‘trade sale’ usually from Sept to Dec. We also offer several finance options.

How long is the lifespan of your products? Do you offer any warranties?

The lifespan can be significantly influenced by maintenance and upkeep such as regular cleaning and reproofing – we have clients that haven’t needed to replenish stock until 10 years after their first order. Maximise the longevity of a tent by pitching on a sturdy decked platform or a groundsheet protector, swapping ropes for webbing straps (which offer greater support and resilience) or pairing tents with compatible protector covers, which preserve the fabric by sheltering it from the elements. We offer a 1 year warranty with all tents.

Rainier Outdoor

How was the idea to start your company born?

Rainier Industries began in 1896, on the docks of downtown Seattle, making tents for prospectors traveling north to the Klondike for the Gold Rush.

What type of structures do you create?

The Outdoor Division of Rainier Industries manufactures yurts, canvas cottages, wall tents and teepees.

What are the main advantages of using canvas structures for hospitality, in your opinion?

There are a number of advantages to using canvas structures for hospitality, including the uniqueness a canvas structure creates within a given space. When used for overnight accommodations, canvas structures offer an unparalleled guest experience that is immersive and interesting. Canvas structures are flexible in that they can be moved around and reconfigured, while stable enough to withstand the elements. Canvas structures also help expand the footprint of a hospitality property. They can extend an indoor space into the outdoors, offer a stand-alone event space and even stand out as a unique attraction.

What makes them stand out from other manufacturers?

Rainier has been in business for over 125 years, and we started by making canvas structures. We manufacture the highest quality yurts, cottages, tents and teepees using materials like Army Duck fabric, Douglas fir, reinforced vinyl and marine cotton canvas. In general, our lead times are shorter than our competitors and our Eagle Yurt is the premier yurt on the market.

How much maintenance is required? Do you offer any follow-up services?

Overall, maintaining Rainier Outdoor canvas structures is pretty easy. The most important thing is to keep the structure clean and dry. Once or twice a year, clean the exterior with water and gentle soap if required, and let the interior “air out” regularly (depending on the climate). The Rainier Outdoor team is available to our customers whenever they need us. We pride ourselves on putting our customers first to ensure they fully enjoy their canvas structures for a lifetime.

What is the average wait time from workshop to site?

On average, the lead time for Rainier Outdoor products is 4 weeks.

Can your products be assembled on-site or do they require transportation?

Rainier Outdoor products are shipped, or picked up, in crates (or other packaging) and assembled onsite. They can be assembled by the owner, or we have install/assembly partners who can travel to set up the structure.
