A Superior Experience

Saniflo

Can you tell us a bit about the background of your company?

Saniflo UK is part of the SFA Group, headquartered in France. The original inventor of the macerator concept over 60 years ago, the SFA Group has continued to design and manufacture macerators, pumps and lifting stations for domestic and commercial settings, revolutionising non-mains drainage solutions worldwide.

The Kinedo brand, also part of the SFA Group, is a range of superior quality shower cubicles, shower enclosures, easy-access baths and shower trays that are easy to install and maintain.

With a combination of Saniflo and Kinedo products, glamping businesses worldwide provide their guests a superior experience. It is often easier to opt for a Saniflo non-mains drainage solution than expensive, messy and time-consuming excavation works – there is a Saniflo product for any size site.

A Kinedo shower cubicle offers a leak-free solution without the use of tiles, grout or silicone, with watertight internal glass panels.

Do your products require a mains water connection or septic tank installation?

Saniflo products can be installed anywhere a water supply can reach –mains or non-mains. A septic tank, water treatment centre or storage vessel is required only when the Saniflo solutions cannot discharge into a mains drainage solution. All pipework must eventually reach either mains drainage or a septic tank.

Are they suitable for off-grid sites?

Saniflo pumps, macerators and lifting stations require electricity to operate. Solar, wind, or a generator is used for off-grid sites.

What maintenance is required to keep your products in top condition?

An occasional descale with Saniflo descaler is recommended and adhering to the rules of what not to throw down them. Many of Saniflo’s products are supplied with alarms that provide early warning of any issues and can be programmed to indicate when maintenance is required. Products recommended for use on glamping sites tend to feature two pumps to guarantee business continuity. Saniflo has a wide network of service engineers that can provide repair and maintenance services. Easy access to the key components is designed into each unit so issues can be fixed quickly.

Once installed, very little maintenance is required for any Kinedo product – the same as for all shower cubicles and enclosures, walk-in baths and shower trays.

What is the wait time from you, to the customer?

Saniflo UK is sold and mainly distributed by builders and plumbers’ merchants and DIY outlets who also hold stocks and can supply overthe-counter on demand. Kinedo products are sold via merchants and bathroom showrooms, with support available from the warehouse.

What geographical markets do you cover?

The SFA Group designs and manufactures Saniflo and Kinedo products in France and distributes them globally.

What is the lifespan of your products? Do you offer any warranties?

Saniflo has customers whose macerators have lasted 20 or 30 years. Warranty of up to 5 years on domestic products if registered with Saniflo UK, whilst commercial products are covered up to 10 years. Kinedo products have a 10-year warranty.

On or Off Grid Solutions

Glampsan

Glampsan is a UK-based market-leading supplier of a wide range of water and waste solutions, backed up by a passion for customer service and a well-earned reputation. Most of our products are made in the UK and we supply and deliver across the whole of the UK and Ireland.

Glampsan is a division of Plastic Solutions Aldridge Ltd, whose roots still lie in providing waste solutions for the rental and construction industries. From 2016, we noticed we were receiving an increasing number of calls from the glamping sector – and yet, as the questions we were being asked were subtly different, we felt we needed to offer a slightly different approach. That’s where Glampsan comes in: after all, our name comes from glamping sanitation.

Whether you are on or off-grid, Glampsan has a solution for you. We provide composting, separating and low volume flush toilets, which tick plenty of green credential boxes by reducing water consumption – these use no water. Our brand new “Propelair” product flushes with a combination of air and just 1½ litres of water per visit – especially attractive to ecoconscious sites.

We also manufacture simple waste collection tanks – above or below ground – to capture grey and black water for later removal. Collection tanks are particularly suitable if you can supply water for flushing toilets, washing and showers, but can’t access a mains sewer for the resultant waste.

If you want to avoid storing waste, you might need a sewage lifting station to pump waste across your site to an existing septic tank or a mains sewer. We partner with Saniflo® for their range of sewage lifting stations.

Brand new from Glampsan in 2023 is our CampPlus range of en-suite bathroom pods. For camping and touring site applications in the main, these units allow you to offer an upgrade to guests: camping with style with their own private en-suite! These units will allow you to extend the rental season, bringing in revenue when other sites are shut.
