GITAUK announces formation and membership launch

Anew, dynamic Trade Association for the UK glamping industry has officially been launched.

Confirming its official formation, The Glamping Industries Trade Association UK (GITAUK) is inviting site owners, suppliers, manufacturers and those supplying services to the glamping industry to apply for membership, marking a significant milestone in the rapidly growing glamping sector.

Membership starts at at an introductory rate as low as £90 per annum for site owners with 3 or fewer units, with October to December free.

“At less than £1.50 a week for the fifteen months this represents an incredible opportunity to join the Association as one of its founding members,” commented Derry Green of The Secret Garden Glamping, who instigated the formation of the new Association earlier this year.

Derry continued, “Not only does this get you in on the ground floor, you can influence the ideas and issues we address as we grow. Furthermore, we will be offering memberonly benefits from day one, from advice and guidance to on-line webinars and networking events..

GITAUK has been established to serve as a unified voice for the glamping industry. Bringing together operators, suppliers, and stakeholders it will address emerging challenges and opportunities in this dynamic market, as well as provide a conduit to both local and national governments.

The Association aims to provide its members with essential resources, industry insights, and a platform for collaboration and innovation.

The newly appointed Board of Directors includes a diverse group of experienced professionals dedicated to advancing the glamping industry. Leading the charge as the first President of GITAUK is Derry Green, the visionary behind The Secret Garden Glamping.

The Association will be managed by Arete Solutions, a respected consultancy led by John White ACIS, a seasoned trade association professional, who said of the formation, “The time is clearly right to give the glamping sector a united voice and tackle some of its emerging issues. We have a great group of people taking the vision forward with Derry Green of Secret Garden Glamping acting as our first President. We look forward to talking to more of the industry at the upcoming Redefining Outdoor Hospitality Summit and The Glamping Show in Kenilworth in September.”

GITAUK will be actively participating in two major industry events this summer: The Glamping Show, held from September 19-21, and the Redefining Outdoor Hospitality Summit, scheduled for September 18, both in Kenilworth. These events will provide an excellent opportunity for prospective members to meet the GITAUK team, learn more about the Association’s goals, and join the community.

Derry Green, President of GITAUK, added, “Thank you to all those who have supported the formation of the Association so far and worked hard on our new website, marketing plan and attended the meetings. We can’t wait to build this Association into a strong resource for operators; somewhere where they can find help and advice, inspiration, and support.”

GITA invites all those involved in the glamping industry to join the association and take advantage of its many benefits. Together, GITAUK aims to foster growth, share best practices, and ensure that the glamping industry continues to thrive in the years to come.
