12 South

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Just a couple of miles south of downtown Nashville, the vibrant 12 South community encompasses 10 blocks that run from Linden Avenue to Sevier Park. Over 200 years ago Granny White made her way from North Carolina and settled along the old buffalo path, now known as Granny White Pike, to sell her ginger cakes from a roadside stand, and later, opened an inn for travelers. Today, the same spirit of hospitality and entrepreneurship exists in 12 South and Nashvillians and tourists alike enjoy the highly-walkable community.

THE MARKET

Homes in 12 South are just as eclectic as the people that live here. You’ll find lovingly restored bungalows along tree-lined streets mixed with newer homes built within the last couple of years.

THE LIFESTYLE

12 South, one of Nashville’s most popular neighborhoods, is a combination of modern trends and old world charm. 12 South has emerged as the perfect one-stop destination to live, eat, drink, play, and socialize. Stylish shops, beautifully-restored homes, trendy coffee shops, and a wide array of dining options are all within walking distance. You are likely to find a hand-stitched pair of jeans, local craft beer, iconic photo opportunities, and a fabulous meal all in one visit.

Belle Meade

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Belle Meade, which means beautiful meadow, is a small city between Hillsboro and Harding Pike and bordered by Warner Parks and Woodmont Boulevard. Many of Nashville’s earliest wealthy families settled in Belle Meade, including the Cheeks of Maxwell House Coffee fame and the Hardings whose plantation lent the community its name. It’s a luxurious community and sits just a few miles south of downtown Nashville, making it ultra convenient for business people and socialites alike.

THE MARKET

The community has a timeless, almost European feel and offers a mix of plantation style estates, charming Tudors, and mid-century modern homes. Your neighbors will be a mix of Nashville’s top entertainers, CEOs, and politicians.

THE LIFESTYLE

As one of Nashville’s most affluent neighborhoods, Belle Meade offers premier opportunities for a luxurious lifestyle. Locals flock to the Warner Parks and Cheekwood Estate and Gardens on sunny weekends, and Belle Meade Country Club offers a private oasis for the area’s top golfers. The entire city feels like a city park, with gorgeous homes featuring sprawling manicured lawns. Swanky spas, fitness clubs, and fine dining establishments are nearby for residents to enjoy.

Bellevue

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Bellevue is bordered by the southeast lines of Davidson County and extends to the north to the Cumberland River. It’s intersected by Interstate 40, making it a convenient 20 minute trip to Downtown Nashville. Thanks to rapid growth in recent years, Bellevue has seen countless new businesses and neighborhoods pop up, breathing new life into the community. The new mixed-use development space known as One Bellevue Place gives residents an urban-suburban feel at a price point much lower than similar communities with Nashville addresses.

THE MARKET

The neighborhoods in Bellevue feel established, with most of the homes being built from the 1970s to 2000, but with new development, more housing types and lifestyle choices are available. Here you’ll find ranches and mid-century modern homes as well as condos and townhomes.

THE LIFESTYLE

In addition to a plethora of shopping and dining options, Bellevue also offers easy access to some of Nashville’s finest outdoor recreation, particularly the Warner Parks. Green Door Gourmet is a beautiful farm and venue offering cooking classes and u-pick fruits and flowers. Bellevue is also the home to the start of the Natchez Trace and Loveless Cafe, a southern restaurant known for its delicious biscuits. Tailgate Brewery has also brought the craft beer scene to Bellevue and hosts several fun weekly and annual events.

Belmont

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

The Belmont neighborhood occupies the area between Interstate 440, Belmont Boulevard, Magnolia Boulevard, and 20th Avenue. The neighborhood borrows its name from Belmont Mansion, called such because Belle Monte means beautiful mountain in Italian. The mansion now rests on the campus of Belmont University and is open for daily tours. It was owned by the Acklens, who also have lent their name to the area’s streets and buildings, and the mansion’s gardens and zoo were once open to Nashville’s early citizens to enjoy.

THE MARKET

Many of the homes in the Belmont area were built in the early 1900s and exude charm and historic character. Sidewalks line the main streets, trees frame the sky, and houses vary in age from the 1930s to new construction. Home styles include Foursquare, Tudor, Cape Cod, and contemporary.

LIFESTYLE

Belmont attracts college coeds from around the world, young professionals, and families looking for an established neighborhood. Shops, restaurants, and things to do reside along Belmont Boulevard, keeping locals and out-oftowners occupied. The campus buzzes with activity and is well-known for its music program, frequently opening its doors for concerts and musicals. The area is not only walkable for a quick bite, but is an enjoyable place for a stroll.
