During this actionpacked camp, you’ll be equipped with the skills you need to be a top secret agent. Work with your Spy Quest team to solve a mystery by decoding clues and revealing invisible messages left throughout the museum on this fun-filled quest.
We’ll go to the depths of the sea in search of unique ocean animals and marine environments. How can whales survive in frigid water? What makes jellyfish glow? Any child interested in marine biology and the ocean will love this camp.
The Science of Slime
Learn about the rainbows in bubbles, the bounce in borax, and the slime in Oobleck! Experiment with the states of matter as you create your own candle and get your hands gooey as you make your own playdough.

Ahoy Mateys! The pirates and buccaneers need all the help they can get searching for Swagger Jack’s hidden treasure. Legend says it’s buried right here on SciWorks property! Once ye have learnt your way around a boat, navigated with the stars, and discovered the properties of gold, ye are invited to attend our Pirate Plunder Party!
Join us for an undersea adventure as we dive into the amazing world of the ocean and its creatures! Did you know there’s a clam that weighs 700-pounds? Or that the largest animal ever to live still inhabits the ocean? These are just a couple of things we’ll learn as we investigate coral, sharks, whales, and, of course, seals and sea stars.
Are you ready for a rootin’, tootin’ good time? Hop on the wagon train, little Buckaroos, because we’re heading for the Pony Express! We’ll search for gold, tumble like a tumbleweed, and learn some fun science from this great part of American history.
What colors are in rainbows and prisms? We’ll look at colorful gemstones, flowers, and other items in nature. Then we’ll use our creativity to mix colors using paints and other media and make our own kaleidoscopes as we explore the wonderful array of colors.
Member $190, Non-member $220
Avast ye scurvy dogs! Join your fellow pirates and buccaneers on a quest for Swagger Jack’s treasure. Learn about the life of a pirate, sailing vessels and buoyancy, navigating by the stars, deciphering pirate codes, and, aye, GOLD!
They protect us, carry us when we can’t walk, rescue us when we’re lost, and keep us company when we’re alone. Animals have always been a part of our lives, and many of them - from guide dogs to Navy dolphins – go above and beyond. Explore the habits and habitats of both domestic and wild animals in this amazing animal camp. They help us… how can we help them?
Calling all cowboys and cowgirls… we’re taking a trip to the Wild West! From tumbleweeds to trains, we’ll explore the science behind our favorite western topics. Pan for gold, build a train, and meet some awesome folks who will bring the Wild West to life.
Ever tried to “catch up” to ketchup? Ever “Ooo’d” at Oobleck? Take part in the interactive fun as we explore the states of matter through some icky, sticky, squishy, swishy experiments! From making slime to investigating the strange behaviors of nonNewtonian fluids, you’ll find science can be messy, but lots of fun!
Member $190, Non-member $220
Well shiver me timbers! Ye want to learn about buccaneers, pirates, and privateers?! What’s the difference anyway? Find out as we discover gold and other precious elements. See what makes our ships float, whose ship is the fastest, and how weather affects our sailing. All this ye landlubbers will have to learn if ye are to discover Swagger Jack’s treasure.
Animals are amazing creatures to watch and analyze! Conduct animal behavior experiments as you form hypotheses about some of SciWorks’ animals and then observe their actions to find the answers. Meet biologists who study animals and learn about some of the cool things they’ve discovered.
It’s time to practice your best John Wayne voice because this camp is all about the Wild West! From the geology of the Badlands to the physics behind the great locomotive engines, we’re going to ride into the science of some great western topics. So throw on your cowboy gear because we’re going to round ‘em up and head ‘em off at the pass.
Ever wonder what all those “-ologies” are? Love all things science? Then this is the camp for YOU! From bugs to boulders, atoms to animals, we’ll investigate biology, geology, nanotechnology, and more as we examine all kinds of things from the past, present, and future!
