The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) announced that India retained its third position with 1.42 million visitors, with a 2.0% drop, after China and Indonesia, as a Visitor Arrival (VA) source market for Singapore. DUBAI
Hidden Treasures of Rajasthan
Almost a decade ago, Dubai was perceived as a major centre of trade. It still is a hub for trade, but has grown beyond the same. With local investors pumping huge sums of money into the leisure and lifestyle segment, Dubai is slowly and surely gaining foothold in the tourism sector as well. As a city, Dubai has a very cosmopolitan air. It has an age-old connection with Indians, which is precisely why a lot of Indian's choose Dubai be it business or leisure. With the availability of a hoard of brands it has becoming a hot-spot shopping arena. However with so many lifestyle elements added to the city, it is becoming a city for honeymooners too. With Indian outbound taking a quantum leap in the recent years, it is rather easy to figure why so many young and 'JUST MARRIED', Indians choose Dubai as their honeymoon destination.
One can also enjoy European, Lebanese and Asian cuisine. Don't forget to enjoy the best of Lebanese cuisines on the Desert Safari. This comes accompanied with the authentic belly dance. Bounce with your beloved at the whims of the waves in Dubai creek. Experience a starlit evening on the Dhow cruise with sumptuous seafood spread. One can also enjoy a hoard of vegetarian delights on this trip. Just incase the spices tantalize your senses don't forget to make a trip to the spice market (adjacent to the GoldSouk)
Dubai’s Iconic Skyline - Dubai offers an impressive skyline to its visitors. One can site the BurjKhalifa (the latest addition, that was open to public in 2011) in a few minutes after driving into the city from the airport. This is one of the tallest towers in the world. The Burj-Al-Arab and the Palm Jumeira just cannot be missed. The aerial view of the city atop the BurjKhalifa will give insight on some of the upcoming architectural marvels in the city too. The upcoming Dubai Towers gives the impression of flickering candle flames. There is a certain romance exuberating in the architecture of the city. The city pulsates with the vibes of the old days on one hand and also swings to the glorious ways of the west on the other hand. If you want to sweep your beloved off her feet, whisk away into cosy of the honeymoon suits at the Palm Atlantis, or the Burj-Al-Arab. The Lost chambers at the Palm Atlantis can transport you and your wife into an oceanic league. Take a certified diving course with your beloved. Perhaps you can even enjoy a whiff of air as you sky dive. These properties sure know how to make your honeymoon the most unforgettable one. The Al Maha Resort offers a romantic Arabian getaway with a complete privacy in your suite with endless views of the Arabian Desert from your private swimming pool.
Encompassing Affair - In a recent conversation with a friend who just got married, she said that they opted for Dubai as a Honeymoon destination for several reasons. The primary reason being that the couple wanted to visit a foreign locale to mark this important event in their lives. With the ease of geographical proximity of the location, Dubai had a lot in store to offer to my friend. To begin with they had the best deals on airlines. Some of the best hotel properties offered attractive packages for honeymooners, offering state of the art amenities and services. It also has eclectic mix of tax-free shopping (with attractive discounts), theme restaurants, spas (to rejuvenate) and adventure to offer. It is a destination ideal both for a man and a woman. Foodies Delight - Food is the most significant aspect for every Indian going outbound. They would always want to feel at home. The best way to feel at home is through the stomach. Being a dynamically cosmopolitan city one can enjoy a Global platter in this city. However the locals and the foreigners visiting Dubai have a special affinity for Indian cuisine. Hence one can find anything from North Indian, to South Indian, Mughlai, to Indian Chaat and street food, and sweet meats of the choicest variety.
Enough of attention is given to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer. These places have been visited, talked and printed in various mediums but Rajasthan has these several tiny places which seem to be undiscovered and unaffected by the rush of tourists. Mandawa is commonly referred as 'Open Air Art Gallery'. The Mandawa Castle is a historical building which is worth a visit reminiscing the rich culture of Rajasthan. The city is away 190 kms to Jaipur and this time instead of Jaipur you'll enjoy your trip to Mandawa.

TRAVEL TRADE COVID-19 Sets Back Economic Sustainability and Connectivity of Asia-Pacific Airports A report from Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific warns the prolonged duration of the COVID-19 outbreak will significantly set back the region’s airports from previously forecasted growth prospects. The airport association urges regulators and governments to implement well-defined adjustments and relief measures tailored to suit local level contexts. According to ACI World estimates, AsiaPacific is suffering the highest impact, with passenger traffic volumes down 24% for the first quarter of 2020, compared to forecasted traffic levels without COVID-19. Within the AsiaPacific region, mainland China, Hong Kong SAR and the Republic of Korea remain at the center of the effects with sizable losses in traffic volumes. Meanwhile, there is a sharp spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in several countries in the Middle East, expecting to significantly impact traffic downwards by -4.2%, as travellers and airlines adjust their plans and seat offers in the coming days and weeks. Against this gloomy background of sharp declines in traffic and passenger throughput, airports’ aeronautical revenues and non-aeronautical revenues are rendering similar declines. The ACI World Airport Traffic Forecasts 2019–2040 predicts US$12.4 billion revenue for the first quarter in the AsiaPacific region in the "business as usual" scenario. The impact of COVID-19 is projected to have a revenue loss of US$3 billion. The shortfall in the number of passengers and the cancellation of flights leads to reduced revenues from airport charges such as landing and parking charges paid by airlines, and passenger service and security charges paid by passengers. While aeronautical revenues are under pressure, the cost base for airport operations remains unchanged as airports can neither close nor relocate their terminals during the outbreak. Nonaeronautical sources of revenue usually serve as diversification of airport income streams, but they also provide an additional cushion during economic downturns. To a large extent, the COVID19 is impacting Chinese passengers, the world’s largest and highest-spending outbound travel group, creating a wider worldwide effect on airports. “Unlike airlines, who can choose to cancel flights or relocate their aircraft to other markets to reduce operating costs, airport operators manage immovable assets that cannot be closed down. They are faced with immediate cash flow pressures with limited ability to reduce fixed costs and few resources to fund capacity expansion efforts for longerterm future growth,” said Stefano Baronci, Director General of ACI AsiaPacific. “For privately-held airports, the situation is even worse as they do not benefit from relief measure but are obliged to continue paying concession fees to governments.” Current slot allocation rules require
www.safariplus.co.in
airlines to use at least 80% of their allocated slots under normal operations at an airport in order to keep them. The proposal for a global suspension of 80/20 usage recently made by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) would give airlines the freedom to cancel flights to/from congested airports not necessarily linked to the COVID-19 outbreak, jeopardising the ability for countries to stay connected with the world, which in turn will have knock-on effects on their economies. “We are sympathetic with the airlines’ needs to avoid flying empty airplanes simply to retain airport slots. But this
should not jeopardise the connectivity of passengers and distort the competitive field. ACI Asia-Pacific favours an evidence-based market-by-market review which evaluates rates of infection, load and scheduled bookings. While we prefer local measures, in the event of a global alleviation package, airports, airlines and slot coordinators should explore the feasibility of a relaxation of the 80/20 rule to a lower threshold or a calculation of the historic rights for airlines based on a shorter period through their respective associations,” concluded Baronci.

“For privately-held airports, the situation is even worse as they do not benefit from relief measure but are obliged to continue paying concession fees to governments.” Current slot allocation rules require

airlines to use at least 80% of their allocated slots under normal operations at an airport in order to keep them. But this

The Sedlec Ossuary The Church of Bones
If you think that you saw everything in your life, think again! This is Ossuary as Art. Many of the bones in the chapel are arranged with what can only be described as artistic license to form a skeletal adornment of the chapel's interior. It displays some of the world's more macabre art. In addition to a splendid bone chandelier composed from almost every bone in a human body, the ossuary displays two large bone chalices, four baroque bone candelabras, six enormous bone pyramids, two bone monstrance's (a vessel used to display the Eucharistic host), a family crest in (you guessed it) bone, and skull candleholders. Festively looping chains of bone are hung throughout like crepe paper at a birthday party. The Sedlec Ossuary is nothing spectacular in the outside. If you want to visit this unique masterpiece you can travel to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic and from there you will make a 1 hour trip till Kutna Hora. You would think that it is just an av e ra g e o l d m e d i e va l gothic church. The reason as to why it is made takes a little explanation. Sedlec
Ossuary has a long history, beginning in the 13th century when the Abbot of the Sedlec Monastery (Abbot Henry) brought a handful of earth back from a journey to the Grave of the Lord in Jerusalem. He scattered this “holy soil” across the Sedlec cemetery, securing its place as one of the most desired burial sites for people all over Bohemia and the surrounding countries. Everyone wanted to be buried in that handful of the Holy Land and more than 30,000 were. But it wasn't long before there simply wasn't enough room for everyone to rest in peace. In the 1500's, bodies had been dug up due to over-crowding. It is said that a bored, half-blind monk decided to do something constructive with the stacked bones of 40,000 people around the Ossuary and used them for interior design. The Schwarzenburg family bought the Ossuary in the 1700s and in 1870, a local woodcarver; František Rint was employed for the dark task of artistically arranging the thousands of bones. Rint came up with the Bone Church's stunning chandelier, as well as the amazing Schwarzenberg coat of arms, which includes a raven pecking at the severed head of a Turk--all made of human bone. Rint was responsible for bleaching all of the bones in the ossuary in order to give the room a uniform look. His artist's signature is still on the wall today-naturally, in his medium of choice, bone! So, come pray in this holy church of bones and may all your wishes come true.
