The recently concluded Travel Expo “Holiday Carnival 2023" organised by Travel Agents Association of Nashik (TAAN) from 20th to 22nd of Jan 2023, received an overwhelming response from the locals of Nasik city.
TAAN which was established in 2012 is the association of Travel agents in Nashik district has more than 110 members. During the event, Mr. Sagar Waghchoure President of TAAN said that the tourism industry, which has been in crisis for the last 2 years due to Corona, is now looking to recover. The tourism sector has a significant contributor to the country's GDP and is a
major source of direct and indirect employment. TAAN members contribute to Inbound and outbound tourism. There was the participation of 60 members in the Expo and a wide range of Domestic and international tours were exhibited.
The expo was inaugurated by Shri Dadasaheb Bhuse, Guardian Minister, Nashik who assures to open many new avenues for tourism growth. Nashik may soon have water tourism and houseboats in the backwater of various dams in Nashik, he announced.
Vice President Mr. Manoj Vaswani informed that during three days of event, more than 10000 visitors visited Expo. There is an increasing trend to book tours from a travel agent than any other online portal.
