NEWS FLASH TAT launched "Thailand Tourism Virtual Market" The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) which represents the global Travel & Tourism private sector has unveiled a range of new worldwide measures to restart the sector. The new Safe Travels protocols provide consistency to destinations and countries as well as guidance to travel providers, operators, and travellers, about the new approach to health and hygiene in the post COVID-19 world. The health and safety of travellers and workers is put at the heart of the new global protocols, which have been drawn up by WTTC Members. Based on the best available medical evidence and following guidelines from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), they also avoid the emergence of multiple standards, which would only delay the sector’s recovery. These will apply across the main industries within Travel & Tourism including hospitality, aviation, airports, cruise operators, retail, transportation, MICE and tour operators amongst others. Measures being announced today include: Hotels/Hospitality Key measures include: Revisit guidance for cleaning teams for all areas of the hotel with a specific focus on high-frequency touch points, such as room key cards Ensure social distancing for guests through signage and guidelines including lifts Retrain staff in infection control, social distancing and enhanced hygiene measures, including hand washing and the use of masks and gloves All extraneous items should be removed throughout the hotel Integrate technologies to enable automation, such as introducing contactless payments where possible Offer room service using no-contact delivery methods Have clear, consistent and enhanced communication with customers on new health and hygiene safety protocols, both

In the past two months, Israel has been facing the COVID19 crisis, together with the rest of the world. In March, Israel has closed its borders and skies to non-citizens in the hopes of minimalizing the virus spread in Israel. Currently, the only flights allowed into the country are flights intended for transitioning of necessary equipment and the return of Israeli citizens to Israel. These days Israel is gradually reducing restrictions and preparing for a new "Corona routine". The government has published a 4-step plan to be executed from May through mid-June, due to the significant decrease in the number of active coronavirus cases in Israel in the past weeks. These are the main factors: Domestic tourism: May 3, 2020, Bed & Breakfast accommodations (especially in the rural tourism areas) will return to operate, provided they follow the recommended "Purple Guidelines" agreed upon by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Tourism. "Purple Guidelines" objective: Accommodation facilities will be held to high standards of cleaning, training of work staff according to the new guidelines, upgrading of air ventilation systems, reducing crowd-gathering and offering special bookings and cancelation terms. Work: All public sector and private sector employees may return to work, subject to the guidelines. Education: By the end of May it is planned that all students in
Israel will return to full educational activity including schools, universities, libraries etc. Leisure and Sport: all points below are subject to relevant guidelines - Parks and nature reserves will open for visitors starting May 4; Gyms are planned to open by May 7; Outdoor sports are allowed for individuals and couples; Stores of all sectors and sizes can open for business; Shopping Malls will open by May 7; Museums will open on May 17; Swimming pools and Amusement Parks will open by the end of May; Theatres, Cinema, restaurants and competitive sports will return to activity by mid-June.

Raising to SUSTAIN the Glory Bihar's antiquity is evident from its name, which is derived from ancient word “VIHARA” – monastery. It is indeed a land of monasteries. Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Muslim and Sikh shrines abound in this ancient land where India's first major empires rose and fell; where the ruins of the worlds' earliest university slumbers in the void of time. The passage of Ganga, flowing wide and deep enrich the plains of Bihar before distributing in Bengal's deltoid zone. Among all Indian states, Bihar is the one most intimately linked to Buddha's life, resulting in a trail of pilgrimages which have come to be known as the Buddhist circuit. The Buddhist trail begins at the capital city, Patna, where a noteworthy museum contains a collection of Hindu and Buddhist sculptures as well as a terracotta urn said to contain the ashes of Lord Buddha. INTERNATIONAL launches MICE venue Hygiene Guidelines TCEB in collaboration with MICE stakeholder associations launches MICE Venue Hygiene Guidelines targeting MICE entrepreneurs to make them wellprepared for the resumption of businesses under the new normal environment, following the positive sign of COVID-19 pandemic situation and the gradual easing of lockdown by the government. The aim is to enable their preparation for the resumption of their businesses under new normal environment where hygiene and health safety will be key concerns and when more relaxation of lockdown measures is on the way. Under the guidelines, the 5 key measures on hygiene and public safety established by the Ministry of Public Health must be strictly adhered to as follows: 1) Limit the number of attendees (1 person per 2 sq-metre space) 2) Body temperature screening (a system, such as application, is required for looking after, transferring and following-up the patients), 3) Distancing practice within business premises, such as meeting room, elevator, restroom, canteen, 4) Tracking system in case a delegate becomes ill after visiting the premise, 5) Queuing system with the separation of waiting areas before entering the premises MICE Venue Hygiene Guidelines have 3 key practices: pre-event,
onsite and post-event. The pre-event practices include preparedness of staff, transport, setting up of screening point, self-screening application or website for attendees to feedback within 24 hours before the event, manual on permitted number of attendees, instruction on holding large scale activities, hygiene instruction for attendees, etc. The onsite practices focus on use of IT to mitigate risks, arrangement of venue to reduce touch points and regular cleaning of touch points and QR code for registration and satisfaction survey to ease the congestion, room layout for better ventilation, 2-meter apart seating, microphone set up at different points and regular cleaning after use. In case of speakers invited from location outside the host city, the attendees must be informed of safety measures taken to reduce incoming risks, such as shuttle service for speakers or providing accommodation near the venue for the speakers, etc. For exhibition, advance booking technology for visiting exhibiting booths to lower gathering crowds or virtual exhibition technology should be employed to create experiences for those waiting in the queue. Online platform should be developed for product booking or purchase. The post event practices include the employment of waste management system that can prevent the infection, producing a report on event organization for concerned authorities in accordance with the orders and announcements of the government's Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration

Besides that, isolated wards are available in the Medical Centre and cabins can be converted into quarantine rooms if required.” To boost confidence in future reservations for guests, Genting Cruise Lines has also launched its “Cruise As You Wish” program in which all new and existing Dream Cruises and Star Cruises bookings prior to or on 30 October 2020 will have the flexibility to cancel up to 48 hours before sailing and receive 100% future cruise credit to be redeemed of any Dream Cruises or Star Cruises sailing embarking on or before 31 March 2021.

A small town on banks of Arabian Sea, Gokarna, is one of India's most consecrated places situated in the district of Uttara Kannada, on the coastal expanse of Karnataka. Legend has it that Lord Shiva emerged here from a cow’s ear, hence the name ‘Go-Karna’ which means ‘cow’s ear’ in Sanskrit. It is also located at the ear-shaped confluence of two rivers Gangavali and Aghananshini. The shore is bordered by the natural splendor of four beaches - Om Beach, Kudle Beach, Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach. Gokarna is a contradiction in itself. A temple town, a pilgrimage site full of Hindu saints and Sanskrit scholars, Gokarna is also a hippy ecstasy with drums, guitars and hammocks. OM Beach - Om Beach with its characteristic 'Om' shape created by two semi circular coves (and that’s where it gets its name) is one of the most popular beaches about 8 kilometers from Gokarna. A very well-liked beach by the tourists and locals, Om Beach offers an enchanting alternative to the crowded beaches of Goa. It has many isolated, private beaches nearby, which can be reached only on foot. Om Beach is known for the occasional, spontaneous psychedelic, dance festivals/parties that take place there, and on the adjacent beaches of Om Beach. This beach is distinguished by its spiritual hippies – with ash smeared on their foreheads, tattoos all over their body, long hair, beard and beads all over. Kudle Beach – An incredible, fantastic white-sandy beach, Kudle is just about a 20-minute walk from Gokarna. It offers

water sports that are much cheaper than those at OM beach. With a host of sea-facing hotels and resorts, Kudle Beach also offers sea-side shacks that rent out rooms at a cheaper rate. Well known for its shacks and cafes, it is a potpourri of cuisines ranging from Mexican to Mughlai. Excellent seafood is also served here (my favorite being the simple - Kalamari Fry). Kudle Beach also offers a much more child-friendly atmosphere, which is particularly absent at OM beach. Paradise Beach – Also known as the Full Moon Beach, it is the furthest among the other beach destinations of Gokarna. Stony stretches mingling with sandy shores, Paradise beach is just the perfect place to enjoy a private vacation away from all the hustle-bustle. Paradise beach is also a great stretch to camp out. The sea here is calm and the beach is very clean. Open restaurants with seafood specialties and barbeques are available here. Paradise beach is accessible only by boat or trekking across the hillocks from Om Beach. Half Moon Beach - A crescent shaped cove, it lies on a rocky stretch and a very small stretch of beach on the way to Paradise beach. Half moon beach is unapproachable by road and only means to reach it other than on foot, is by the sea. Go backpack across this beach haven with your friends (like I did) or go alone and trek towards private beaches for some soul searching and you might just come back with a few new friends. With friendly locals and tourists, it is easy to mingle with everyone and forget about work and time. Go, lose yourself. How to reach Gokarna? By Air: The nearest airport is the Dabolim Airport in Goa. By Rail: Gokarna is connected by rail from Karwar, Ankola, Hubli, Mangalore, Kumta and Margao. The Konkan Railway passes through Gokarna - Kumta (35 km) and Ankola (20 km) are the nearest major railway stations. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation operates buses from these places to Gokarna. By Road: From Bangalore, there are 1-4 buses operating. It is a 12 hour overnight journey from Bangalore to Gokarna. Private buses also operate to/from Hampi/Hospet. National highway 17 is about 9 km from the town. The Bangalore - Goa Highway passes through Ankola which is 20 km from the town. If arriving from Goa, you can take a local bus from Madgaon or Canacona to Karwar, and then take another bus to Gokarna.

Mystifying !ndia India is unique geographically, socially, culturally, scientifically. Home of the Himalayas, the tallest mountains, India is our world's largest and oldest democracy, and contains an amazing wealth of wisdom, culture and spirituality. And within this earliest civilization known to mankind, lie hidden mystical secrets. It lies hidden in India's silent spirituality, making her a mystic land of meditation, contemplation and enlightenment.
The panorama of Pangong Lake
Living Root Bridges Have you ever wanted to go to forest of some kind of magical presence? In the depths of northeastern India, in one of the wettest places on earth, bridges aren't built - they're grown. The living bridges of Cherrapunji, India are made from the roots of the Indian Rubber Tree - 'Ficus elastica' tree. It may sound magical or even exaggeration; the root bridges of Cherrapunji are really alive. The root bridges, some of which are over a hundred feet long, take ten to fifteen years to become fully functional, but they're extraordinarily strong - strong enough that some of them can support the weight of fifty or more people at a time. One special root bridge, believed to be the only one of its kind in the world, is actually two bridges stacked one over the other and has come to be known as the "Umshiang Double-Decker Root Bridge."
The Pangong Tso lake of Ladakh, situated at an altitude of 4350 meters on the Indian/Chinese border, is in a high mountain valley in the upper drainage basin of the Indus river and at the east end of the Karakoram Range. Pangong Lake is long, narrow and the water is brackish making it the highest situated lake with salt water. Five fresh water rivers fed by the perennial springs and snow-melt mountains, flow into the Indian portion of the lake, still keeping its salt level high. Pangong means extensive concavity and is 134 kilometer long, but it is only 5 kilometers wide at the widest points. The topography is not just a tourist's paradise but a geologist's sphere of influence too but surely no fun for the army in the frozen temperature to take care of the tactical landscape.
Levitating Stone
Roopkund Skeleton Lake
Roopkund, better known as “Skeleton Lake,” is one of the most mysterious places in India. It is a glacial lake in Uttarakhand state of India, at an altitude of about 5,029 meters (16,499 feet). An enormous grave of between 500-600 skeletons is what this place is most famous for. The carbon dating from samples indicated that the people were from the 12th century to the 15th century. The site is so isolated that it requires about four days travel from the nearest human settlement. Generally, trekkers and adventurers travel to Lohajung or Wan by road. Following this awesome discovery of 1942, the skeleton abode of Roopkund has generated a phenomenal sensation. More recently in 2004, a team of European and Indian scientists visited Roopkund to carry on with the probe and part of their findings included anthropological treasures like well-preserved corpses, jewelry, bones and skulls belonging to the dead.
Shivapur, a small village near Pune, Maharashtra is famous for its Levitating stone. The story behind is that Qamar Ali, who lived in this village (6 centuries ago), was born in middle-class Muslim family whose men prided themselves on their muscular prowess. Unlike his aggressive older brothers, he was introspective and gentle. When he was scarcely six, he became a disciple of a Sufi Pir and started meditation and fasting. Before long, throngs of devotees began to flock at his doorsteps, drawn by his mystic's compassion and miraculous powers of healing. Renowned for his extraordinary power, on his death bed he requested to keep a circular stone near his tomb. If 11 people touch their finger to the stone and shout the name “Qamar Ali Darvesh”, the stone flies up in the air. It is a huge stone weighting around 200kg. While some call it illusion and some impossible , the fact is that it is an inexplicable event.
Magnetic Hills of Ladakh
Bhangarh ruins of Rajasthan
Can you ever imagine a vehicle moving up a steep hill with the ignition off? Sounds unbelievable right? The Magnetic Hill is located on the Leh-Kargil-Baltik national highway at a distance of 30 km from the capital city Leh in Ladakh. It is at a height of 14,000 feet above sea level and is known to possess strong magnetic properties. The uncommon phenomenon here is that the car moves by itself when put in neutral gear at a steady speed of 10km/hr or above depending on the type of vehicle. Today the place has become a popular sightseeing place where tourists are amazed to see their car moving on its own.
Noted to be the scariest place in India, Bhangarh is attracting scores of tourists these days, lies beneath the Sariska forest in the Alwar district in the state of Rajasthan. Hundreds of years ago, its occupants fled, or died. Nobody's sure. Not a single human soul lives in the 158 hectares of land. The city, according to legend, was cursed by a tantric (a performer of Black magic) in the sixteenth century. The tantric, was attracted to the beautiful queen of Bhangarh, Ratnavati. One day, he saw her maid buying some hair oil for the queen and put a love spell on it. The queen was a tantric herself and as she looked at the swirling oil, she threw the flagon away. As soon as it touched the ground, a stone magnified into a boulder and moved towards the tantric. Before the boulder crushed him, he put a curse on the land and the whole town was vacated over night never to be returned to again.
