Oftentimes during the COVID-19 pandemic a feeling of being trapped indoors led to exploring local areas of Los Angeles where there was nature and the respite that it provided. One of these places was the Palos Verdes peninsula, where it felt like being transported to a place and time when it was a younger city. The fields of wildflowers, the carefully tended gardens of public and private homes and businesses, and the resident peacocks were welcome sights. The ocean views and the small intimate towns surrounded by miles of breathtaking views kept things on the sunny side during this unknown and frightening time.
