I am a studio artist. My art is influenced by the ancient Greek and Roman tradition of landscape and still life paintings, which provided a private devotional area and visual banquet for the guests and evoked an impression of hospitality and generosity. “Canyon Trail” is located on the Gabrielino Trail in the Los Angeles National Forest a short distance from my home. I took the photograph this painting represents on a cool day with the morning sun filtering through the trees and onto the trail.
