.2005
My first work was to understand the aesthetic language and the roots of Julbo brand. Reading all the workbook since 2005 to give me an idea of the style evolution.
2014.
The brand logo.
Julbo design language can be sum up by looking at the logo, created with dynamic curves, straight lines and radius variation.
Ideation
After I got used to the Julbo design language, I started to design stems.

My experience. These 2 months at Jublo were amazing, I have learned so much ! It was the first time that i have to respect the DNA of a brand. For that I have spent time reading all the workbook since the begining to decode the aesthetic language of Julbo and trying to figure out what’s makes them unique. I really was impressed by the attention pay to the details and by all the efforts designers make to push the limits of the products playing with milimeters. I remember myself comparing 2 stems for 5 mins until I see the differences of curves between the two ! Well, even if the consumer doesn’t see this little details I believe they can feel them and at the end it’s just a better product ! I’ve discovered the process of making a piece of eyewear, to the first sketchs, Illustrator refinement, first mock-up in acetate, 3D modelisation, 3D printing to real prototype. I’ve learned that it takes a real cooperation and exhange between people in the workshop and the designers to achieve a nice product. They figuring out, together, what is the best solution to slove the problem, dialogue is the key. The human being is also very important. I learned about being part of a team and integrate my self into the group. I’ve met great people, passionate about what they do and who make you smile everyday. Maybe because Julbo is still a family brand I think that, now, I know a bit more about the pleasure of getting at work ! I would like to give warm thanks to Julbo for the opportunities that I had during these 2 months. First I had the chance to see part of my design in the next 2015 pair of speed glasses for the Julbo team and Martin Fourcade ! Im very glad and I would like to thanks Clement Bonnet for his trust and for giving me this awesome opportunity !
Then, I was also very lucky to see the athletes at Julbo : Martin Fourcade, Simon Fourcade, Jean Guillaume Béatrix, theses are very nice people and are an exemple of humble being. I had the chance to exhange with them in person and I’ve seen the close relationship between a brand and his athletes. I was able to listen to their feedbacks and desires, they have a different approach with the product because they use it to his extreme. It was a pleasure to be in charge of the presentation of the Aero project that Clement and I worked on, a very good training by the way. Such a great time again ! Then, I went to Frederishafen outdoor exhibition in Germany, it was a really exiting. it was the first time i met the Outdoor spirit in a single place. A very nice atmosphere, and the opportunity for me to see the new colors trends, discover new products, brands, and talk with people who share the same passion for sports. Wonderfull Weekend with the Julbo team far away form the french mountains ! To conclude, It was very interesting and motivating to work on real project, the next Julbo ski helmets and the new team speed glasses for 2015. I’ve done my best and I hope I succssed to bring my passion and creativity though my work. I would like to give warm thanks the design team : Clement Bonnet my intership supervisor, the design team : Han Dinh, Flavien Saniard for their advices and trust and the product managers for their good jokes. And everybody for they kindness and avaibility during these 2 nice months ! It was a real pleasure to work with you ! Im feeling a bit part of the Julbo family now ...
See you soon, THANKS !
