It was a rainy and a somewhat cold Saturday morning; however, the weather can’t stop the Key Clubbers from doing what they do! Other than the humidity, excitement was in the air, as hundreds of Key Clubbers from all over Texas-Oklahoma gathered at Six Flags over Texas. Starting off the day was the Rally. Key Clubbers watched as clubs had the chance to gain extra points on their monthly report by playing Deal or No Deal. After the rally, we were let loose on the park. In the rain, we rode numerous roller coasters, and bonded with other Key Clubbers.
It was a really fun day, and it was nice to be rewarded for our hard work and dedication to service.

Key Club Communication Key Club meetings are all vital part of being a key clubbers for numerous reasons. First it personally connects everyone together. These days people are worried about the lack of personal face to face communication made obsolete by new technology such as the IPhone 5.

KEY CLUB PLEDGE
listen to the club's (vice) president. Usually they are very chromatic and provide much insight and prudence in service due to their respective experience in service and key club. Tune in for the next two reasons on the next edition!
Don't know the Key Club pledge? No worries. Just follow along below: I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions. KEY CLUB MISSION Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.
Showing up in bodily flesh at the meetings show a lot of commitment and improve the unity of our club. Secondly, it gives an excellent opportunity to
Fall Rally This last month of September I was lucky enough to go to the Fall Rally for our district. The Fall Rally on the 29th was a very wet and wild adventure that left me very happy and appreciative of Key Club. It was a great time and I wish that this may be a letter to all Key Clubbers who didn’t go because they were unsure of whether it would be worth it
To start off the district board hosted a Deal or No Deal game with the prize being points for your school’s club. Hosted by the great, hilarious, and all the while still very professional International Trustee Colten Meisner, the games of Deal or
Ryan Yanney No Deal were the highlights of the rally. During the games the board had come up with some “commercial breaks” reminding everyone about projects like ELIMINATE and the BRO project. This got the crowd very excited about serving for this year. There were also commercials reminding the schools about early bird dues and DCON. After the program to start the rally ended the clubs enjoyed a very wet but still exciting day in the park. My favorite was the new and improved Mr. Freeze. Batman was extra fun because you were getting pelted in the face with rain all ride long. All the rides were awesome and everyone enjoyed themselves. That day in the park was amazing and I’m pumped to serve the community for another year. To all the members who didn’t go and has another chance, make sure you go that time because there will be no regrets, I guarantee it.
Key Club Dues and Sales Don’t forget to pay your Key Club dues to Ryan Yanney! It is $15 and there are also T-Shirts for sale for $10.
DISTRICT CONVENTION This year’s district convention theme of Haunted House has been released. Although a revolutionary theme like this one will not be easy to pull off, this year’s DCON may have the best theme yet.
Key Club “I pledge…to combat all forces which tend To undermine these institutions!” Key Clubbers from across the globe shout out this line from the pledge at their weekly events and meetings. But what is the meaning of this phrase? And why do we emphasize it? As the school year wears on and academics become more difficult, the weather becomes harsher, and we lose the motivation we had during the first weeks of school (when we all said, “I’m going to work so much harder this year!”), attendance at Key Club meetings and events tends to drop as well. But, we must COMBAT these forces and
SOCIALS continue to volunteer and work for various projects. We have had a lot of great events so far with many members (especially underclassmen!) attending and we’d definitely like to continue that throughout the year. I think Ms. Mossige said it best this morning as she stated that “no lack of electricity can stop the students of our school from working as we ARE Paschal”. The same true for our microcosm of students in Key Club- nothing should stop us from serving in our schools and communities as we are all part of the greatest highschool student-led service organization in the world!!

service to do for our community. Every Wednesday, 5-10 are needed to work the assembly line style process at St.Paul Lutheran Church to fill paper, run the machine, and bind sheets to make different books of the Bible. These books are usually about 60-70 pages and take 15-20 minutes to make on an average day. Our record however is making 11 books within an hour! Think you can beat that? Well then come try it out any Wednesday during this year from 4:00-5:00 pm with
