PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE Usos: - Para hablar de acciones pasadas que tienen conexión con el presente (es decir, una acción pasada que tiene un resultado en el presente). - Para dar información nueva. - Para hablar de un suceso reciente. - Cuando hablamos de una acción pasada pero no decimos cuando ocurrió porque no lo sabemos o pensamos que no interesa. Ejemplos: -
He has lost his key (la ha perdido y todavía no la tiene). You know what? I have bought a car. Have you heard? The police have arrested two men in connection with the robbery. My hubby has bought a gold ring to me.
Ojo!! El presente perfecto NO lleva adverbios de tiempo que indiquen pasado, si los lleva ya no es presente perfecto sino pasado simple: - I bought a car yesterday. Compara: -
I cannot find my bag. Have you seen it? Yes, I saw it this morning on the kitchen table. I have gone to London // I went to London last summer.
OJO! - How long + presente perfecto?
How long have you known Jonny?. How long have you been married? - It is the first ..+ presente perfecto.It’s the second time I have driven a car. It’s the first good meal I have had in England. - It’s ( a long time/ages/2years..) since + past simple It’s two years since I last saw John How long is it since you last saw John? -
When / What time + past simple When / what time did you arrive?
Compara: James is away on holiday. He has gone to Spain. (= èl esta en España o de camino a allí) James is back home from holiday now. He has been to Spain. (= ya ha vuelto de allí)
