45 e 45th a tall buiding for midtown manhattan solo design oriented by prof. Kenneth lewis and prof. Harold fredenburgh sept.. - dec. 2012
Designing a tall building in Midtown Manhattan has several challenges: from the high influx of pedestrians to the history attached to the area.
The reading of the surrounding building’s heights to define the rhythm of the proposed design allows for expansion of the public realm in the intermediate spaces and creation of new relationships with New York City’s history.

The skin of the building should be of glazing, maximizing light. A pattern proposed would reflect the variety within the tower by changing density and complexity.
The pattern is inspired by circuit boards, directly relating to the tower’s use, by an IT company.

Pampulha’s Ball House is one of Oscar Niemeyer’s finest works. The proposed intervention reads its forms, a delicate organic one, into a pneumatic visitable structure, obtained from the ‘inflation’ of the garden’s pond.

arrudas convention center and public urban activities complex for belo Horizonte group design with nathalia laporte and cibele Eller rodrigues oriented by prof. cristina villefort and prof. stael alvarenga mar.. - jun. 2012
An intervention in the traditional city-core, this project proposes opening the river, currently running under a road, transferring the urban train to the undergroud and creating an express avenue where the traffic runs, therefore freeing a big area to the circulation of pedestrians. Through these actions, a new park is created, while the character of the area, of mixed used, is intended to be maintained.

Martissant residences a residential cluster within a park in port-au-prince, haiti solo design oriented by of. alice Chun feb.. - may. 2013
Existing topography
A green jewell inside Port-au-Prince, the Martissant Park offers inhabitants a contact with nature that is rare in post-disaster Haiti. This project proposes a housing cluster for artisans in a one-year residence program, living whitin the park area in a small community.
proposed topography
The new topography grades from private to public, in a variety of spaces

Martissant residences
The site is located on top of a hill, with view to the ocean. Previously existing buildings were destroyed during the 2010 earthquake. The proposed design maintains the footprints of the old buildings, as a memory, takes advantage of the preexisting lower/basement levels and lands the new buildings lightly on site, in a modular fashion.

On the lower level, there are two types of spaces: a small arena to hold small performances and a housing unit. The unit is opened on the sides, providing outdoor sheltered spaces for the artisans to work. A small kitchen garden is also created taking advantage of the topography. The groud level is occupied only by public and semi public areas, with the houses’ kitchens on it. On the upper level are the bedrooms, allowing for more privacy within the cluster.
