From The Superintendent

Welcome to the A-rated School District of Palm Beach County!

Our District operates according to a very important mission, which is to educate, affirm, and inspire each student in an equity-embedded school system. These are important, foundational principles that drive our vision for each student to succeed and flourish.

School safety is also a fundamental priority. School District Police create and maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for our students and staff, while serving the greater needs of the community by working in partnership with our schools and other local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. School Police also work in collaboration with behavioral and mental health professionals.

We are the 10th largest district in the nation, with 180 Districtoperated schools and nearly 175,000 students from pre-kindergarten to 12th grade. We are also the largest employer in Palm Beach County, with more than 22,000 members of Team Palm Beach.

Our District offers a rigorous academic curriculum including International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement and Cambridge AICE programs that help prepare students for higher education. Many of our high school seniors graduate with industry certifications, thanks to the more than 330 rigorous and innovative Choice and Career programs taught by specially trained instructors at elementary, middle, and high schools that provide a pathway to additional Career Technical Education and the workforce. In Palm Beach, we strive for students to graduate college- and career-ready..

We also provide career programs for adult learners through Adult and Community Education programs offered at 34 locations throughout Palm Beach County. Our District is committed to serving our students and our community by aligning what we teach with local and global workforce needs.

As a District, we are forward-focused and devoted to excellence in teaching and learning to ensure that students develop the skills needed to prepare for, and thrive in, the 21st century workforce.
