OUR PRESIDENT

I have been embracing the unique challenges that come with my role as your Wellington Chamber of Commerce President.

Although 2021 was a banner year for retention and events, my goal has been to grow our membership substantially this year. With a solid infrastructure in place, we can successfully manage a larger investment of members while maintaining our boutique chamber feel. The larger the membership, the stronger our referral base.

One of our unique initiatives is through our small business committee: our “CHAMBER COLLABS” video series. Here, we ask Chamber members who have met and partnered up on business endeavors to send us a video letting everyone know about their partnership. This is a great tool to not only promote our businesses but to lay the groundwork in becoming a self-sustaining entity. Meaning, why go outside our own chamber for referrals, partnerships and collaboration? We have a dynamic group already in place, and I personally trust we are all making sure to employ the CHAMBER MEMBER first policy!

As you know, the vast majority of our events sold out fairly quickly in 2021. As we re-emerged from the pandemic, our members came out to support events in numbers we have not seen to date. Our 2022 events have shaped up to be the largest and most vibrant to date. With so many new businesses entering the marketplace, we want Wellington to shine as the premier destination to live, work and play, as our philosophy as a municipal and boutique chamber is to take care of our own four walls first.

My door is always open. Stop by, say hello and let us know what we can do. We love ideas, and we are not afraid to try new things.
