PROFILE I graduated top of my class from Newcastle University. I am a highly organised and efficient designer, whose thorough and detailed approach to projects has yielded excellent results. I am interested in architecture, interior design, urban planning, landscape, and especially sustainability design. I have been blessed with a wide variety of experiences and exposure to multiple cultures, which have helped shaped me into a highly skilled, thoughtful, and well-rounded designer. PETERLEE CONTEMPORARY CENTER FOR WOODWORK May 2019 Thesis Project Programs used: None It seems clear that while computer-aided design has revolutionized and improved the way in which building designs are created, I chose to use the traditional methods of hand drawing and model making to conceptualize and communicate my thesis project designs. The conceptual basis for this project is challenging the notion of a “left-behind� place. A design enterprise reclaiming the forgotten and a celebration through architecture. The aim of the PCCW is to act as an incentive for young people to stay in Peterlee (site) by building community through a cultural amenity that offers social engagement and vocational training to boost the local economy.

BIO’KHMER’IC APARTMENTS July 2018 Design competition by Building Trust International (BTI). Programs used: Autocad, Sketch-up, Vray, Photoshop The brief was to design 3000 affordable housing units for factory workers in Phnom Phen, Cambodia. Influenced heavily by the vernacular concepts and aesthetics of a traditional Khmer house, apartments offer affordable, modern, functional homes that are adaptable to suit various types of individuals. The buildings design use passive cooling techniques to ensure apartments are always pleasantly cool, without the need of air-conditioner, to suit the tropical climate. The masterplan includes Angkorinspired raised walkways, designed to be used as platforms during the harsh flash flooding and a bridge to buildings in each zone, encouraging socialization within the community.

BIOCLIMATIC DIAGRAMS The open space design allows flexibility of the interior. Within each apartment, there is an in-built, pegand-hole, grid system that allows the possibility of up to 3 additional rooms and joining of 2 units that the tenants can create in the future, should they choose to. This flexible design can accommodate a single person to a large family, and the many changes in between.
FLOORPLANS (NOT TO SCALE) The in-built grid provides functionally-neutral rooms; meaning the same basic area for all rooms, which gives the resident(s) complete freedom to allocate their preferred room use. This is a subtle approach to give more liberation and flexibility to consumers, where they usually don’t receive in a mass housing development. The majority of factories in PPSEZ is garment and textile, and a massive amount of textile waste is produced going straight to landfill. Fabric waste sourced from the factories can easily be upcycled to be used by the locals to create fabric infill for their movable partitions. PEG AND HOLE PARTITION DIAGRAM

In the tropical country of Cambodia, malaria and dengue fever is a common problem. Recycled polyester mesh, sourced from the many sitenearby textile factories, are woven to make mosquito nets, attached to the window holes, to protect the workers from serious health issues. All the local materials proposed for the interior are easily sourced and can create a positive impact to the environment. These screens are thoroughly designed to maintain the natural airflow in the apartment.

GRAPHIC ELEVATIONS
The brief was to design a social housing for Syrian refugees that have received assylum in Leith, Edinburgh. There were 6 different types of clients. Creating a space where all the requirements of each family is met and more was the most challenging part of the design. The design outcome plays with the contrast of masculinity of concrete and the delicateness of plants. It is 4 storeys with 6 apartments. As well as creating adjacent spaces to encourage social interactions to help with the coping of the refugees. Alongside the residential building, a soup kitchen, food-waste supermarket, and a private roof garden was intergrated as a means to create a sustainable lifestyle for the residents.
