The project participants A European project needs a diversity of the participants. The partners, sometimes gathered in consortium or network are at the centre of the project.

1. The transnational network ĂŽ Definition and characteristics "Transnational network" means the organisation mode that governs the functioning of the European projects. The network associates partners from different countries with the aim of following one or more common objectives, without any one of the partners having a higher status than the others. The network appears as the most suitable instrument to operate at the European scale and to work within the given period. The main characteristics of a transnational network are as follows: 1. It groups partner organisations from different States and various sectors that generally have a distinct legal status (public, private and/or associative). 2. It fixes itself common objectives for executing one or more concrete projects. 3. Within the network, it provides all competencies and expertise required for executing the project(s).
