Shelter for pilgrims - Tomar The town of Tomar was born inside the walls of the Convento de Cristo, constructed under the orders of Gualdim de Pais, the fourth grand master of the Knights Templar in the late 12th century. Tomar is situated some 135 kilometres north east of Lisbon and 190 kilometres south east of Oporto. Tomar is one of Portugal's historical jewels and more significantly was the last Templar town to be commissioned for construction. Tomar was especially important in the 15th century when it was a centre of Portuguese overseas expansion under Henry the Navigator, the Grand Master of the Order of Christ, successor organization to the Templars in Portugal.

Shelter for pilgrims is designed to the National park - Mata Nacional dos Sete Montes in Tomar. Main idea of proposed design is to provide safety for traveling pilgrims. Concept is sustainable, simple, clean (functional character) where at the road is situated one cubus (R4), with accented entrance to the east for the Twizzy (and bicycles). There is also storage room, for storage Tesla batteries and another electric equipent for support shelter. At the opposite side of road, there are 3 blocks, each with one function. First (R1) is sleeping area for 2 (or 4 people). In common area (R2) there are 2 floors, on the upper there is small bathroom with resting area, and on the lower floor there is small kitchen for preparing tea, or small lunch. Last part (R3) is devoted to the prays. In the room there is big window, facing south, with view to the forest.
