TOURS MEDAL OF HONOR MUSEUM The Medal of Honor Museum features interactive exhibits that tell the stories of the brave American warriors who have served and protected the U.S. with remarkable courage.
1/28/2021 2:51:52 PM
The Medal of Honor Museum pays special tribute to American heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, ranging from the very first Medal of Honor recipients during the Civil War all the way to the present. Four exhibit areas describe the medal’s origin, the toll of war, and the bravery it inspires. Please do not bring food or beverages into these spaces. Children under 14 should be supervised by an adult.
A variety of tours provide special experiences. Tours vary by focus, content, cost, and length, and may be booked in advance. Here is a sampling;
Captain’s Tour A guided tour of Yorktown provides exclusive access and insights to ship areas that were previously closed to visitors. Climb aboard the restored B-25 plane, see the anchor room (fo’c’sle) and Captain’s Quarters. Book ahead with bulldogtours.com or patriotspoint.org
Scavenger Hunt Takes youngsters on a self-guided tour of the Yorktown, finding clues along the way to solve their mission questions. The Scavenger Hunt is educational and entertaining for adults, too. Available for a small fee at the Ticket Window.
