This module introduces you to the latest SLRs and DSLR cameras and available technology for photography. Students will undergo training on different types of cameras, how they work, and how to use them. You will also learn about photographic compositions which enable you to take beautiful pictures. This module introduces you to the concept of digital capture. You get to know the features of a digital camera and learn about camera resolution and print size formats. Aperture, Depth of Field & ISO
These are basic fundamentals of photography which are important to understand what goes behind capturing a picture perfect image. This module covers the various depths of field, the shutter speed of the camera and manual & auto focus and metering modes. Lenses & Lighting
The right choice of the focal length is imperative in taking a good picture. The camera lens is at times as important as the camera itself. Under this module, we educate students on various lenses available in the market and the selection of the most appropriate lens while taking a picture. Similarly, lights play an important role in defining the character of a picture. The study of white balance, understanding the temperature of lights, choosing between natural vs. artificial light and their effect on the picture, is an important study for the students.
