Primo Italian Steakhouse in Middletown…
the ultimate Italian experience!
Tell me there’s a new Italian restaurant opening in the vicinity, and I am there! Just a short drive up I-75 into a quaint little town called Middletown… Is a fabulous new destination called Primo Italian Strakhouse. I’ve never been to Italy, but I am absolutely sure I just visited by the incredible ingredients and care put into each course by Chef Shawn Heine! Shawn and Nelson Castillo, Owner of Primo, recently returned from an expansive research trip through Italy, where they hand picked ingredients and fabulous wines… From the dried tomatoes, the different types of flour used for their homemade pastas, The incomparable pasta maker, Olive oil, charcuterie… even the stunning hand-blown water carafes for the Italian filtered water system! The care put into every ingredient and every dish is dynamic and so full of flavor!
Middletown… A city 35 minutes north of downtown Cincinnati, within 15 minutes of Cincinnati’s northern suburbs, and 15 minutes south of the Dayton area. There is a boom going on in the city… New businesses popping up every day, and with its’ convenient location, accessible to all.
Primo and the building are rich in history, from
the spectacular etched glass windows, to the dark, inviting woodwork… makes for a seductive ambience throughout. The exclusive bourbon room with attached cigar patio will be fabulous! The location is sexy, tasteful… And the chandeliers are stunning! Service was impeccable from start to finish, and the chef and wait staff, along with Nelson (always there to greet with a smile!) will give recommendations to be sure you have the best experience possible.
Primo Italian steakhouse… Absolutely one of the best meals and dining experience I’ve had in the greater Cincinnati area. Cannot wait to go back! It was literally… THAT GOOD!

Voices Unlimited: A Collaborative Workshop with Art Beyond Boundaries
This series is held in collaboration with Art Beyond Boundaries, a non-profit fine arts gallery located at 1410 Main Street, whose mission is “to promote the understanding of artists with disabilities and show that art goes beyond the limits of disabilities.”
Using WWf(a)C practices, participants will respond to artwork of Melissa Sammarco, Edith Susarret Marrero, and Ruthe Pearlman for the upcoming exhibition being held at Art Beyond Boundaries. To celebrate the creative process, participants will be invited--but not required--to share their written work at a virtual reading and at the Gallery.

About Women Writing for (a) Change:
Located in Silverton, Women Writing for (a) Change® provides a safe and non-competitive environment for individuals to develop their writing skills, cultivate their creativity, and strengthen their voices. At WWf(a)C, our writers, whether first-timers or the more experienced, find community, connection, and meaningful conversation within our writing circles.
WWf(a)C was founded by Mary Pierce Brosmer in 1991, to encourage women and girls to find their voices, speak their truths and tell their stories in a world in which they were often silenced. Through the years, WWf(a)C class offerings have grown in response to demand. WWf(a)C has expanded and deepened its reach and offerings, while staying true to the original vision and values.
We offer writing circles and community events for Adult Women as well as All Gender options, with series classes ranging from 6-14 weeks, as well as one-off specialty classes. For youth, we offer programming specifically for Grades 4-6,
Grades 7-9, and Grades 1012, including weeklong summer camps. For more information, or to register, visit us here.
WWf(a) C FacilitatorKaren Novak is a four-time published novelist, writing teacher, practiced facilitator, and graduate of the Conscious Feminine Leadership Academy. She writes: My experience with this topic has been “on the job” training. Having a disability in my back from scoliosis as well as a complexity of other health realities to deal with, I have learned that the secret to seeing my life as a beautiful thing unfolding was to be part of something larger. My sense of community at Women Writing brings me joy and sustains me in difficult times. My writing skills have grown exponentially while here. Café Alma: Celebrating their one year anniversary
Café Alma came to fruition through a shared love of community and food. The owners, Lainey and Yair Richler encourage the habit of healthy eating and living a well-balanced lifestyle through a Mediterranean Diet. Café Alma aspires to be the place people come to for a meal and feel good about what they are eating. The Richlers hope their cafe can feel like a home away from home— where one can sit for hours with a friend, offer a comfortable space for those that work remotely, or be the first choice for special occasions.
Every dish on the menu is filled with color and flavor, with hopes that customers will come
back time after time to make their way through the menu. Some of Café Alma’s staple dishes consist of: Alma’s Classic Shakshuka, Rosewater Pistachio Waffle, and the Sun Dried Tomato Benedict. When discussing their menu, Yair Richler said: “We’re focusing on a different vibe with comfort foods that people are familiar with and love, but with our own little twist on it.” Café Alma is Cincinnati’s first Mediterranean cafe serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch all day. Reservations for groups of 6 or more are needed, waitlist is recommended for 5 or less and can be found through their website.
