Paul DeLeeuw

DeLeeuw strives to emulate his father's dedication to education and community service. Paul DeLeeuw graduated from Cedars Medical Center in anesthesiology in 1978. He eventually became Chief of Anesthesia at Cedars, a job he held until 2002. Then he became the Director of Anesthesia Services at Riverwalk Surgery Center, supervising nurse anesthetists and running the anesthesia department. Due to a shoulder injury, Dr. DeLeeuw had to leave anesthesia and pursue a career as a bariatrician. Dr. DeLeeuw joined Bariatric Physicians Inc. in 2008. In 2009, he became a bariatrician with Medi Weightloss Clinics. He presently treats obese patients in Orlando, Boca Raton, and Sarasota. Dr. Paul DeLeeuw married Willard Kempton's oldest daughter in 1991. We have two kids: Joseph, now an ethicist and programmer in Brooklyn, and Halley, who has had seizures since she was 2. Dr. DeLeeuw raised, educated, and treated Halley while working as an anesthesiologist. Halley is presently Florida's business intelligence director.
