Di Yao
High Performance Training & Coaching franchisees make good money while helping others
After a ten year career in fashion retail, Auckland mother-of-two Di Yao was searching for a career change. Keen to develop her sales skills, she spotted a position advertised by High Performance Training & Coaching marketing their business training and development programmes. Her passion and enthusiasm resulted in healthy sales figures, and Di quickly saw the value of investing in her own High Performance franchise. It was time for a life-changing decision – and as Frikkie and Pao Le Roux, the franchise’s founders, could also see Di’s potential, she went ahead.
Di has now experienced six months as a home-based High Performance franchisee and she’s loving it. With her background in retail, she quickly found success in that sector, and Frikkie is helping Di open doors into other industries too, as she expands her client base.
‘This opportunity is huge,’ says Di. ‘It’s not limited to the size of a business or the background of the individual, it’s about a willingness for self-improvement. The goal is to help clients improve their results, primarily for work or business, but also in their personal life.’ T
he High Performance team has worked with almost 100,000 people worldwide including many real estate agents, brands such as Toyota and BMW, hospitality franchises and small business owners. Frikkie explains, ‘We have seven core programmes, and a variety of proven tools to help clients identify their KPIs, develop strategies to improve results, and then create behavioural change to achieve their goals.
‘Initial training is carried out in person or online, either by franchisees like Di or one of our High Performance coaches. This takes the client’s team through the appropriate module, then we set up online KPI measurement and reporting systems. Ongoing, we support our clients through Zoom or Microsoft Teams with weekly calls over a period, so that they can identify their strengths and learn new habits which help them to deliver in every area.’
No barriers
Because the programme can be delivered online, Covid has been no barrier, says Frikkie. ‘With the help of the High Performance support team, Di has been able to pivot towards markets that are performing well and go on growing. In fact, online delivery means that potentially the whole world is your oyster.’
Di is fluent in Mandarin, which not only opens up additional sales opportunities across New Zealand, but also internationally. The company already operates in Australia, South Africa and Thailand and franchisees have no geographical limits, so during the latest lockdown Di has started promoting the programmes on social media to expand her client base into mainland China.
‘In countries where people have emerged from lockdowns, many are looking to change jobs or lifestyles,’ she explains. ‘That presents an opportunity for High Performance to help them plan, boost their confidence and change direction.’
Di says the franchise, with its proven systems and 24/7 back-up advice, has improved her self-confidence considerably. Much of that new confidence comes from being able to teach people new skills and knowledge, and connect her clients with the right coaching resource.
‘Seeing my clients achieve their work and life goals gives me the greatest satisfaction, along with the ability to support my family and have more control over my own time and finances.’
Exceptional results
Following a successful corporate career, single parent Fiona Chanmala has also discovered a better work-life balance as a High Performance Training & Coaching franchisee.
‘This business is all about helping others grow and develop, which is why I joined the team,’ she says. ‘High Performance has a proven track record with exceptional results.’
She’s grateful for the High Performance management team’s support in getting her up and running, including personalised weekly business development meetings as well as monthly group training sessions for all franchisees.
From day one, Fiona also experienced rapid results from her business and says it quickly repaid her initial investment. ‘I completed my training on a Saturday, then set up five appointments on the Monday and had three sales in my first week in the business. You make good money while you help others – that’s what I love about this franchise.’
Fast start
Frikkie says Fiona and Di are great examples of the flexibility and income potential of a High Performance franchise. ‘Just two programmes per month can generate around $100,000 per year, and one new franchisee generated $90,000 in their first two months alone. You’re not limited by the hours you put in yourself, either – franchisees also have the option of employing people to grow faster.
‘The initial investment is just $60,000 +gst, and that includes all support systems, tools, training and marketing to get you started, then there’s a high level of ongoing support to ensure that you achieve the same great results as your clients.
‘You need to be able to relate to people, determine their needs, hear their problems, and help them move forward and achieve real long-term results. Di and Fiona do all of that and have demonstrated what can be achieved in a short time. If you want to do the same, call me now.’
