Welcome to Perry Public Schools! Perry truly is a special place, full of rich tradition and a legacy of excellence dating back to 1893. At the heart of this rural community is a strong school system.

Perry Public Schools is very proud of what we have to offer our Maroons. Our district serves approximately 1,025 students with a wide variety of athletics, activities, and academic opportunities. While we may be small in size, we provide a big education with a personal touch. All of our buildings are filled with incredibly dedicated and talented certified teachers, and a passionate group of support staff that create a dynamic culture. The leaders we have in place on the administrative team are an experienced group that further compliments the Terry McCarty, Ed.D. faculty and staff. Superintendent Our staff has a high level of Perry Public Schools commitment to education and to building relationships with students. Many have received local, state, and national recognition for their efforts, but most importantly, they care about each individual student. They work to ensure that teaching and learning does not stop here at Perry Public

Schools, afterall, our vision statement is: “The future of

America is being determined here.”

As for school facilities, the new Perry Junior High School and Perry Maroon Athletic Center opened up in late 2021 and is a real source of pride; not just for the school district, but also for the community. It was the community who made their presence known and voted in support of the bond in the fall of 2018 to make all of this possible. The building is well utilized and we have already been chosen to host postseason sports tournaments, which is also great for the community!

Perry Schools is fortunate to have a very strong and active parent population and community that is extraordinary in their support for the school system. This motivates us in our desire to be the best school district in the state of

Oklahoma.

There continues to be a great deal of optimism and momentum. This is extremely exciting as we continue to progress as a school district.

PRINCIPAL BRANDON HIGHT

bhight@perry.k12.ok.us Perry’s High School has an enrollment of 304 students. The student to teacher ratio is 16.35:1, allowing teachers to focus more individual time on students. This advantage has helped in part to win Perry a 2020 College Success Award and a U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Award in 2022. Students enjoy a wide range of clubs and organizations to enhance their success including 4-H, FCA, FFA, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl, Student Council, S.W.A.T., Band, and Yearbook. Perry’s school mascot is the Maroons, and the school participates in the OSSAA Class 3A athletics conference. Students compete in Basketball, Baseball, Cheerleading, Cross-Country, Football, Golf, Softball, Tennis, Track, and Wrestling.
