A few words…... Welcome to the irst edition of what I hope will be a bi-annual look back at recent advertising and editorial shoots I have undertaken for brand advertising campaigns and newspaper and magazine features. This edition sees work that has been shot in Rome, Paris and Johannesburg, closer to home across the UK to just around the corner at Manchester United and Manchester City. It’s been an interesting, rewarding and sometimes challenging period to shoot. From hanging out of helicopters to tearing around a racetrack with a F1 driver. Battling the elements on location with rain, snow and wind trying to keep the lights dry and not blowing over to the other extreme of blazing sunshine trying to ‘kill’ the sun with half a dozen lights setup on an airield for just one shot. From having a whole day to shoot the subject to a couple of minutes. From manoeuvring private jets to get the shot ‘just right’ to asking a footballer to stand still for ’just a minute’. Working with talented people has made the jobs so much more rewarding, from picture editors at newspapers such as the Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Times, to design agencies across the globe and production companies such as Mob Sports and Whisper ilms, these professional teams help achieve the very best from each shoot and I’m lucky to work with great people, many who have become good friends. I love the work I do and embrace every job no matter how big or small with the same passion that has not dwindled over the twenty years I have been shooting. Looking forward my work is increasingly moving towards sports adverting and portraiture across football, Formula One, rugby, golf, squash, athletics and many other sports, to various car shoots, all of which present a challenge in lighting, style and logistics that can be quite diferent to each other, but it’s a challenge I welcome and that excites me, and I hope to be able to keep you updated on these shoots in the next edition. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I have enjoyed making them.

Photos from a 4 day shoot of all the teams in the top flight of the Rugby Super League for their ‘New Era’ ad campaign. The photos were used in conjunction in a video titled ‘The Time Has Come’. AUDI AD CAMPAIGN Photos from four day shoot in Johannesburg to accompany Audi’s campaign “The Coup” a full blown blockbuster heist movie themed ad directed by Hollywood Director Paul WS Anderson.
