Rediscover the rosary in the light of Scripture.
The rosary is a way of contemplation, which simply means to look on the face of Christ. With Mary, we remember the mysteries of Jesus’ life, and with her we “learn Christ.” By prayerfully pondering God’s saving works we bring ourselves under their saving influence, we in a certain way make present the works brought about by God in the history of salvation. Praying the Scriptural Rosary brings us into contact with the Word of God; it has power to change our lives. As we pray with God’s Word, God will say to us whatever we need to hear. Listening to that Word in prayer can help us grow in holiness. Praying the rosary gives us the listening space we need in the midst of our busy lives.
