Colors Blue, gold, grey, white, and red distinguish My Sisters. Dark blue echoes the habit of the Daughters of St. Paul--an effective statement in an increasingly image-based society. This color evokes a trustworthiness grounded in experience and a wisdom rooted in time-tested tradition. Earthy gold points to the reality we hold eternal treasures in earthen vessels, and our citizenship in heaven. Every person and all creation is lovingly willed into life by the DivineTrinity. Therefore, every experience can and will be incorporated, integrated into the divine narrative of salvation. Grey and white used with the logo signify balance. Noble red bespeaks the boldness, passion, and urgency with which all followers of the Lord seek to live more and more fully in Christ and witness to Gospel. NOTE: When combining colors, make sure the colors contrast the background enough for easy legibility. Avoid using colored text except for titles and headlines. Do not use glow, drop shadows, or stokes/text outlines.

Choosing photos Photo or videos used to promote My Sisters are to be consistent with the look and feel of the brand. Consistency in tone enables interlocutors to grow familiar with the Pauline Charism as expressed and experienced in the My Sisters online community. Every My Sisters image should tell a story that is connected to the divine narrative, be high in quality, authentic, and bespeak the insight and hope of those who have put on the mind of Christ. Avoid images that are obviously stock photos, overly posed, unnatural, heavily edited, noisy, or busy. Each photo should tell a simple, poignant story. When using religious images use a creative angle, express a forward-looking hope, focus on one subject, use images with natural lighting. Avoid saturated colors. Each design piece should communicate cohesively and be consistent in quality and style. When combining text with image, give preference to legibility. Do not add glow or drop shadows to texts and never to the logo. Rather, add a filter, transparent box, or vignet to increase contrast between the text and the background. Do not use block text designs. Use "My Sisters' Design Templates" document for examples and templates. Never infringe on copyright.
Taking photos When taking photos to use in My Sisters content or promotion, tell a story that is connected to the divine narrative. Look for a way to capture hints and clues of the divine treasure that is in the earthen vessel of reality as we normally see it. Communicate the vision of one who has put on the mind of Christ and is seeking to use "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" reality as it truly is. Tell a poignant, clear story by focusing on one thing. You may want to get very close to your subject to reduce the business and noise. Choose high resolution, good lighting, and natural facial expressions. Natural light is usually more favorable to photography. Dawn and dusk often offer a natural filter that eliminates hard shadows. See guidelines for choosing photos above. Refer to "My Sisters' Design Templates" document for examples and templates.
