Spirituality “The most important journey of all is the one we make to God who is the source of all life. That, more than anything else, is the lesson to be found in Father J. Brian Bransfield’s book, Living the Beatitudes: A Journey to Life in Christ. “Father Bransfield proposes the mysterious woman at the well as our guide to the Christian virtues we find presented in the Beatitudes, virtues for which we should strive: poverty of spirit, gentleness, solidarity with those who suffer loss, justice, mercy, purity of heart, peace, and the ability to suffer persecution for what is right.” — From the Foreword by Most Reverend George V. Murry, SJ, Bishop of Youngstown, OH
“To read Living the Beatitudes: A Journey to Life in Christ is to set out on a journey which holds the promise of an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. To take up this book is to be given a map which leads to the discovery of the mystery of oneself.”
— Mother Agnes Donovan, SV, Superior General, Sisters of Life, Yonkers, NY
“The gifts of the Holy Spirit, virtues, and Beatitudes are explained in an easy and accessible manner for Catholics.”
— Most Reverend Joseph E. Kurtz, Archbishop of Louisville, KY
“Fr. Bransfield opens up for us the Lord’s invitation to an intimate, eternal relationship, and the reader will find in these pages a gentle but sure guide for responding to that invitation.” — Most Reverend J. Peter Sartain, Archbishop of Seattle, WA
